To lead and support front-line employees in executing daily mining activities safely, efficiently, and to plan. Supervisors at Eagle set the tone for safety, teamwork, and performance. Guiding, coaching, and supporting their employees to achieve results while maintaining a positive, respectful workplace. They are the visible link between leadership intent and field execution, ensuring operational excellence through care, consistency, and communication.\nMAIN RESPONSIBILITIES/ACTIVITIES:\nLead by example, demonstrating commitment to safety, respect, integrity, and excellence.\nCommunicate daily goals, expectations, and changes clearly to the employees.\nEncourage open communication, active involvement, and idea sharing.\nIdentify hazards and act immediately to maintain a safe work environment.\nProvide timely feedback, recognition, and coaching to support employee growth.\nPromote accountability and ownership for safe, high-quality work.\nSupport shift handovers and ensure company communications are passed down.\nVisible and engaged in the field.\nUpdate and maintain the site Ground Control Management Plan and Crown Pillar Management Plan\nPerform inspections of underground excavations and provide recommendations on ground control and mitigation of ground issues, as required \nProvide guidance and coaching to short-term planning to ensure alignment to longer term goals pertaining to stability of underground workings\nProvide guidance to long-term planners on stope sizing, offset distances, mine sequencing, and general geotechnical recommendations to be included in Life of Mine design\nBuild and interpret results of 3D stress models as required to inform ground support design, re-entry protocols, mine sequencing, and mine design \nEnsure the completion of quality control testing of ground support and backfill is completed in accordance with the Ground Control Management Plan\nManage geotechnical instrumentation systems and associated Trigger Action Response Plans\nOther duties as assigned.\nEDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:\nMinimum Bachelor’s degree in Geological Engineering, Mining Engineering, or similar field\n8-10 years of direct experience in mining operations\nStrong understanding of the functions carried out by the geotechnical, geological, and mining engineering departments\nStrong understanding of underground mine design and planning\nA thorough understanding of rock mechanics and underground support systems\nProficiency in Microsoft Office, Map3D, Deswik, RocScience, and Leapfrog \nExperience in underground hard rock mining is preferred\nKEY PERSONAL COMPETENCIES:\nAction oriented - Drives others to take timely action, Identifies and seizes new opportunities\nEnsures Accountability - Accepts responsibility for successes and failures of own work and team’s work\nDecision Quality - Synthesizes information, experience, and inputs to determine the best course of action\nCollaborates - Facilitates effective collaboration among coworkers and external partners\nCommunicates Effectively - Practices active and attentive listening skills to verify understanding\nManages Ambiguity - Coaches others in finding solutions despite incomplete information\nDrives Engagement - Ensures that all team members are motivated to work toward common goals\nPlans and Aligns - Ensures that the team’s plans and priorities are aligned with the organization\nStrategic Mindset - Leads the team to pursue possibilities that will create sustainable value\nBuilds Effective Teams - Ensures that the team has the right mix of skills and leverages strengths\nHSEC ACCOUNTABILITIES\nEveryone in the workplace is responsible for his or her own safety and for the safety of their co-workers.
