Overall Purpose
The Senior Marketing Manager, Sponsorships leadsthe development, execution, and optimization of sponsorship marketing strategies to enhance brand visibility, drivecustomer engagement, and reinforcemarketleadership. This is a strategic and hands-on role that blends creative partnership thinking with data-driven decision-making.
Essential Functions
Sponsorship Strategy & Planning: Developsand ownsthe company’s sponsorship strategy, ensuring alignment with broader marketing and business objectives.
Opportunity Identification & Evaluation: Researches, evaluates, and recommendssponsorship opportunities across sports, entertainment, technology, fintech, and cause-based platforms.
Contracting & Negotiation: Leadssponsorship negotiations, working closely with Partnerships,Legal, Finance and agencies as needed to secure favorable terms and strategic value.
Campaign Development & Activation: Designsand executesintegrated marketing campaigns that leveragesponsorship assets across media, events, digital, social, and experiential channels.
Performance Measurement & Optimization: Establishesclear KPIs for sponsorship activations; analyzesperformance and return on investment; makesstrategic adjustments as needed.
Stakeholder & Partner Collaboration: Coordinatesacross internal teams (Brand, Media, Product Marketing, Comms, Legal) and managesexternal agencies, vendors, and rights holders.
Budget Management: Overseesthe sponsorship and partnership marketing budget; ensuresefficient use of resources and financial accountability.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
7-10 years of experience in brand or sponsorship marketing, with direct experience leading sponsorships at scale
Proven ability to manage high-impact partnerships (e.g., with sports teams, major events, or media platforms)
Track recordof developing and scaling brand activations across digital and physical channels
Strong project management and negotiation skills
Deep understanding of brand marketing and consumer engagement tactics
Familiarity with the financial services or payments industry is a strong plus
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Data-driven mindset with experience using marketing analytics to drive decisions
Preferred Qualifications
MBA.
Experience working with sponsorship agencies, rights holders, and cross-functional marketing teams
Experience in designing Sponsorship activations (preferably in with financialservices brand or payments)
Passion for emerging technology and the evolving payments ecosystem
Physical Requirements
Working conditions consist of a normal office environment. Work is primarily sedentary and requires extensive use of a computer and involves sitting for periods of approximately four hours. Work may require occasional standing, walking, kneeling and reaching. Must be able to lift 10 pounds occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently. Requires visual acuity and dexterity to view, prepare, and manipulate documents and office equipment including personal computers. Requires the ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers.

The base pay scale for this position in:
New York, NY/ San Francisco, CA in USD per year is: $154,000 - $180,000.
