Someone who thrives on building bulletproof people foundations, protecting our culture through clear risk management, and making policy and compliance feel simple, human, and seamless.\nAs our People Operations Generalist, you will own our operational people systems, health and safety environment, total rewards administration, and workplace compliance, ensuring our team is safe, supported, and set up for long-term operational success.\nWhat You’ll Own\nPeople Infrastructure, Systems & Compliance\nMaintain up-to-date documentation, processes, and standards that align with provincial and federal legislation.\nKeep our employee records organized and accurate across our systems (Breezy ATS, Acumatica ERP) and play a key role in our upcoming 2027 HRIS implementation.\nSupport employee immigration processes, including LMIA applications and Permanent Residency (PR) support.\nHealth, Safety & Risk Mitigation\nLead Health & Safety reporting, Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) initiatives, accessibility, and workplace safety programs to reduce risk across all locations.\nOversee WSIB/claims case management, return-to-work programs, and medical leaves of absence with care and efficiency.\nTotal Rewards & Benefits Administration\nAdminister our extended health and dental benefits programs, serving as the go-to contact for team questions.\nAdminister market compensation practices, ensuring our total rewards structure remains competitive, consistent, transparent, and fair.\nEmployee Relations & Culture Listening\nAct as a trusted, neutral point of contact for employees; triage concerns, document issues, guide leaders, and ensure consistent, fair follow-through.\nAdminister engagement surveys, pulse checks, and exit interviews. Notice patterns, translate data into clear thematic insights, and bring actionable themes to leadership.\nOperational Talent & Performance Support\nHandle logistics behind the scenes such as interview scheduling, offer letter generation, background checks, system access setup, and new hire paperwork.\nMaintain performance tools, competency models, and appraisal workflows; support managers through standard performance development plans and benchmark tracking with empathy and clarity.\nWhat You Bring (Knowledge & Experience)\n5+ years in progressive HR/People roles: You have proven experience managing core HR operations, employee relations, and administrative systems within a growing organization.\n Health & Safety Leadership: You have active experience participating in or co-chairing a Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC), leading workplace inspections, and managing incident reporting/WSIB claims.\n Deep Legislative Expertise: You are well-versed in Ontario employment standards and legislation, specifically the Employment Standards Act (ESA), Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), and Human Rights Code.\n Manufacturing or Trades Experience (Strong Asset): Experience working within a manufacturing, production, shop, or skilled trades environment is a major bonus.
