At the beginning of 2027 the workplace will change to Kotka (permanent laboratory).\nAbout the Role\nEaspring Finland New Materials Oy is developing its analytical laboratory in Finland and is seeking a Senior Analytical Engineer to support its establishment and daily operation.\nThe role combines laboratory operations, analytical work, safety and compliance, equipment management, and supplier and client coordination. We are looking for a proactive professional who can take ownership of laboratory activities and contribute to building efficient, safe and reliable laboratory operations.\nKey Responsibilities\nAnalytical skills\nOperate and support analytical techniques including ICP-OES, PSD, BET/SSA, Karl Fischer titration，Acid-base titration, XRD, SEM and other testing items.\n\nSupport analytical method development, validation, verification and improvement.\n\nLead the investigation and resolution of internal abnormal test results and customer complaints, conduct root cause analysis, and drive corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.\n\nLaboratory Safety & Compliance\nSupport laboratory activities in accordance with the Finnish and EU legislation, company HSE requirements, and approved procedures.\n\nMaintain good practices for chemical handling, storage, waste management, occupational safety and environmental compliance.\n\nLaboratory Operations\nCoordinate equipment installation, commissioning, calibration, maintenance and repair.\n\nDevelop and maintain SOPs, work instructions and laboratory procedures.\n\nSupport the laboratory quality system, customer audits and preparation for ISO/IEC 17025 requirements.\n\nExternal Coordination\nCoordinate with equipment suppliers, calibration providers, external laboratories, waste contractors and other technical service providers.\n\nRequirements\nBachelor's degree or above in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering or a related field.\n\nAt least 3 years of hands-on experience in industrial laboratory testing or quality control within a manufacturing environment. Experience in the battery, chemical, or advanced materials industry is preferred.\n\nPractical experience with analytical instrumentation and laboratory testing.\n\nGood understanding of laboratory safety and chemical handling.\n\nProactive, responsible and able to work independently.\n\nStrong English language skills.\n\nPreferred Experience\nExperience in any of the following is considered an advantage:\nKnowledge of Finnish chemical, occupational safety and environmental requirements\n\nLaboratory establishment or improvement projects.\n\nISO/IEC 17025, laboratory quality systems or customer audits.\n\nHazardous chemical and laboratory waste management.\n\nICP-OES, Karl Fischer, BET, PSD, XRD, SEM or electrochemical testing.\n\nCoordination with authorities, suppliers, external laboratories or technical service providers.\n\nApplication process\nWe will review applications on an ongoing basis and will fill the position as soon as a suitable candidate is found.
