This role directly contributes to customer satisfaction by ensuring timely and accurate assembly and shipment of customer orders, while maintaining compliance with all company and provincial safety and environmental standards. \n\nDuties & Responsibilities\nManual picking of customer orders in a safe and efficient manner, using RF handheld scanners\nLabelling East Penn products accurately using correct tags or labels\nBuilding customer orders and preparing pallets for shipping\nSafely operating a variety of material handling equipment (forklift, pump truck)\nRegularly completing pre-shift equipment checks and maintaining constant awareness of safety hazards throughout the warehouse environment\nParticipating in scheduled inventory cycle counts, when necessary\nConsistently maintaining a clean and safe work environment \n\nExperience, Skills & Competencies\n3+ years’ experience with order picking, shipping, receiving, and other general warehouse duties \nExperience operating forklifts or other similar material handling equipment (valid certification NOT required)\nExperience working in environments with a plethora of product SKUs, requiring strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy\nWillingness and ability to frequently lift loads of up to 50 lbs\nWillingness and ability to occasionally push, pull, or move loads of up to 100 lbs\nExtremely strong communication abilities in English (reading, writing, speaking)\nAbility to work independently with minimal supervision as well as part of a broader warehouse team\nStrong initiative and high levels of personal responsibility \nAbility to follow all policies, procedures, and processes, with strict adherence to all company and provincial safety standards (previous experience with WHMIS and TDG a strong asset)\nOther Considerations:\nSatisfactory results from background checks including criminal record checks and professional references are a condition of employment \nApplicants who are
