This is a specialist, hands-on Microsoft Power Platform development role. We need an experienced developer who can step into the position and begin designing and delivering production-ready applications using Power Apps, Power Automate and Dataverse.\nWorking closely with our Lead Power Platform Developer, you will take ownership of the design, development, deployment and support of business-critical solutions built primarily on the Microsoft Power Platform and wider Microsoft technology stack. This is not a generalist software development role: successful applicants must already have strong practical experience of delivering Power Apps, Power Automate workflows and Dataverse solutions in a business environment.\nThis is an opportunity for an established Power Platform developer to apply their expertise from day one while helping to shape secure, scalable and well-governed digital solutions for one of the UK's most ambitious infrastructure programmes.\nWhat you'll be doing\nDesigning, building and deploying Power Apps, including canvas and model-driven applications, using Dataverse as a core data platform.\nDeveloping Power Automate cloud flows to automate business processes and connect Microsoft 365, Dataverse and other services.\nExtending and integrating Power Platform solutions using APIs, custom connectors, Azure services and appropriate pro-code components.\nDeveloping complementary solutions across the Microsoft stack, including SharePoint Online, Microsoft Fabric and Azure.\nWorking directly with stakeholders to turn business requirements into intuitive, secure and maintainable applications.\nApplying Power Platform governance, security, environment management, DevOps and application lifecycle management best practice.\nTesting, documenting, supporting and continuously improving applications already in use across the business.\nWhat you'll bring\nEssential experience:\n\nTo be considered for this role, you must be able to demonstrate recent, hands-on experience of developing and delivering applications on the Microsoft Power Platform, including:\nPower Apps: building, testing and deploying canvas and/or model-driven applications used in a live business environment.\nPower Automate: creating robust cloud flows for approvals, notifications, integrations and end-to-end process automation.\nDataverse: designing tables, relationships, security roles and solution components.\nPower Platform application lifecycle management: working with solutions, environments, source control and controlled deployment between development, test and production.\nIntegrating Power Platform with Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, Azure services, APIs and other data sources.\nApplying security, governance, performance and maintainability principles to production applications.\nWorking directly with stakeholders to translate business needs into practical, scalable technical solutions.\nThe core requirement is proven Power Platform application development experience.
