This summary provides a listing of the knowledge, skills, and abilities that are critical components of the position.\nGeneral\nThis is a full-time position that will report directly to Maintenance Control with oversight from the Director of Maintenance (DOM). The responsibilities include the day-to-day aircraft maintenance needs of the Company involving a variety of maintenance tasks relating to the Company’s aircraft and engines. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a high mechanical aptitude, exemplary work ethic, strong knowledge of line maintenance, and proficiency in FAA regulations. Excellent communication skills are required, and the successful candidate must be able to exhibit the values and culture of the company while working in a fast-paced/dynamic environment.This position will be located at MIA - Miami international Airport.\nDuties and Responsibilities\nPerform aircraft maintenance in accordance with recommendations and adhere to approved procedures and data while performing their duties.\nMeet aircraft, check aircraft maintenance logs, and respond to discrepancies entered in the logbook.\nPerform routine and non-routine maintenance on aircraft.\nReference the Aircraft Maintenance Manual, the Illustrated Parts Catalog, the Structural Repair Manual, the Component Maintenance Manuals, and the wiring diagrams to perform work on aircraft.\nComplete required paperwork accurately using procedures set forth in the General Maintenance Manual (GMM).\nUse only approved and certified hardware, parts, and equipment to be installed or used on aircraft.\nPromote teamwork amongst maintenance personnel and flight crews.\nMaintain workspaces, materials, and tooling IAW company policies and procedures, industry best practices, and appropriate housekeeping.\nAdhere to safety and security protocols, maintaining awareness at all times.\nDemonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement by seeking additional qualifications through training and education as needed.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nQualification Requirements\nHigh School Diploma, General Education Development (GED) Diploma, or higher.\nA valid Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant Certificate.\nAbility to pass an assessment demonstrating knowledge of line maintenance under Part 121 Operations.\nAbility to pass a Mechanical Aptitude Test. \nMinimum of two (2) years of experience working on commercial aircraft in a Part 121 environment (Boeing 737 Classic experience preferred).\nBasic avionics knowledge and skills are highly preferred.\nWillingness to travel to airport or aircraft field locations on short notice.\nAbility to operate tugs, trucks, taxi aircraft, lift trucks, snorkel lifts, boom lifts, tractor and/or other maintenance vehicles.\nStrong communication skills, both verbal and written.\nAbility to crawl, bend, kneel, climb, and stoop frequently in confined spaces.\nCapacity to work efficiently under pressure in a team-oriented environment.\nPossess and maintain a valid Driver's License and a driving record from the state of your primary residence that meets the Company’s insurance standards.\nPass a two (2) year drug and alcohol background check, pre-employment drug test, and criminal history records check (CHRC).\nEligible to work in the United States.\nProficient with the Microsoft Office suite and the Internet.\nFamiliarity with accessing and utilizing online aircraft manuals.\nAbility to multitask and work under pressure in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.\nWillingness to work outdoors in varying seasonal weather conditions.\nAbility to work in elevated areas.\nThis position occasionally involves strenuous physical labor, including lifting
