General\n\nThis is an FLSA exempt, not eligible for overtime, full-time position responsible for acting as a point of contact. This position includes coordinating all ground handling, catering, fueling, airport permits, and all related functions in accordance with the team’s contract specifications and requirements, and will require travel on certain of the trips to ensure flawless service and schedule integrity. The successful candidate will find tremendous personal enjoyment and fulfillment in coordinating the team’s activities against demanding requirements.\nThe Charter Operations Specialist at Eastern Airlines is responsible for the planning of charter flights for origin to destination. The Charter Coordinator Specialist set up, but not limited to, ground handling, catering, landing permits, crew ground transportation, fueling at airports within the charter mission around the world.\nC. Duties and Responsibilities\n\nBe the operational point of contact and subject matter expert at Eastern Airlines for charter flights.\nSet up ground handling, catering, landing permits, ground transportation, fueling at destination airport.\nAnticipate possible charter mission issues and develop a backup plan for potential high-risk problems or issues within the flight plan.\nPrepare effective/timely contingency plans to recover from services disruptions due to weather, ATC, mechanical issues, etc.\nAssures standard work is consistently performed throughout each flight segment of a charter mission is following FAA/TSA regulations.\nWork with Safety and Security to ensure compliance and adherence to federal regulations and guidelines.\nMonitors the status of all planned flights and flights in progress from the point of origin to destination (flight following).\nCommunicate efficiently and provide most up-to-date information in a timely manner to external and internal stakeholders.\nCommunicate clearly and effectively with external stakeholders (Clients, DOD, Brokers, etc.) to understand their operational charter needs.\nCommunicate efficiently and provide most up-to-date information to internal stakeholders (SOC, charter sales, etc.) to inform and create awareness to all groups of priorities unique for each trip.\nResponsible for assuring and implementation of safety initiatives, on-time operational performance, IROP management and recovery plans within the charter mission segments.\nWork closely with direct manager and operational group to ensure the charter program meets the operational goals of our charter customers and business goals of the airline.\nWork closely with the Charter Sales team to accomplish the pricing commercial goals .\nCarry out processes and workflows to continually enhance the charter operations’ procedures and defined level of service.\nCollaborates with co-workers across the organizations to develop/implement/realize organization strategic objectives of charter flight and the airline.\nOther duties as assigned by the Director, Charter Services.\nEducation, Qualification and Requirements:\n\nKnowledgeable of FAA and TSA Regulations.\nHigh performance orientation, ability to work well under pressure, fast pace, prioritize projects, meet deadlines, and maintain flexibility.\nStrong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.\nSelf-starter must have a positive attitude and strong desire for success.\nWill to work nights, weekends and off hours if required.\nComplete projects on time with minimal supervision, ability to work varied hours when necessary to meet operational priorities and work assignments deadlines.\nExperience with Microsoft Excel.\n2+ years in commercial airline / charter flights operations or similar relevant experience .\nExcellent attention to detail, communication, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.\nOperates at the highest levels of
