This summary provides a listing of the knowledge, skills, and abilities that are critical components of the position.\nPosition Summary:\nThe SOC Supervisorplays a critical leadership role within the airline’s Systems Operations Center (SOC), overseeing daily dispatch functions to ensure safe, legal, and efficient flight operations. This position supervises a team of Aircraft Flight Followers, provides real-time operational support, and ensures compliance with all applicable FAA regulations and company standards. The ideal candidate thrives in a high-pressure environment and brings strong leadership, technical expertise, and sound decision-making to the flight following operation.\nKey Responsibilities:\nSupervise and support a team of Aircraft Flight Followers to ensure the safe and legal release of all flights in accordance with FAR Part 121\nOversee daily flight following activities including flight planning, weather monitoring, routing, and weight and balance considerations\nAct as the point of escalation for complex or irregular operations, providing guidance and support to dispatchers and coordinating with other departments\nEnsure timely communication between Flight Following, Flight Crews, Maintenance, and other stakeholders during irregular operations (IROPs)\nMonitor and enforce compliance with company procedures, FAA regulations, and applicable safety standards\nAssist in training, mentoring, and evaluating performance;
