As we continue to grow our engineering presence in Belgrade, we’re looking for a Senior DevOps / Platform Engineer to join the DevOps/Platform team behind Kick.com, our live video streaming platform serving more than 130M users worldwide.\nThis is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys taking ownership, solving real production challenges and building the platform that other engineers ship on. Over the coming year, the same platform will be extended to provision environments, delivery pipelines and shared services for products across Easygo. You’ll help make these capabilities accessible to teams beyond Kick.\nWho We’re Looking For\nAs a Senior DevOps / Platform Engineer at Easygo, you’ll contribute to the design, implementation and operation of the cloud platform our engineering organisation builds on, as well as the shared services our products consume. This includes the real-time messaging infrastructure that delivers chat to millions of concurrent viewers.\nYou’ll work closely with software engineers, platform teams and security to help keep our systems highly available, observable and resilient at scale. You’ll also participate in a follow-the-sun on-call rotation, collaborating with teammates across Melbourne and Belgrade to support production and improve how we operate.\nWe value engineers who take ownership, think pragmatically and enjoy working hands-on with real systems. You treat the engineers using your platform as your customers and look for ways to reduce friction, improve reliability and get things done.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, deploy and operate shared platform services, including our real-time messaging platform running on Kubernetes at high connection volumes.\nArchitect and design scalable, high-performance infrastructure solutions aligned with project requirements and company standards.\nOptimise existing systems for performance, scalability and reliability, identifying and resolving bottlenecks and inefficiencies.\nBuild self-service capabilities and reusable patterns that reduce friction for engineers using our platform.\nDevelop and maintain cloud infrastructure and environments using AWS (EKS), Terraform and ArgoCD, enabling new services to be set up quickly and consistently.\nOwn delivery tooling, including GitHub Actions pipelines, deployment safety and release tooling that helps engineers ship confidently and roll back quickly.\nImprove and own monitoring, logging and observability (Datadog / Cloudflare), making the platform’s behaviour visible to the teams that depend on it.\nHelp new Easygo products reach their first production deployment using existing platform patterns.\nPlan for and support large-scale live events, including load testing, capacity planning, autoscaling behaviour, readiness reviews and hands-on support during events.\nEnsure systems are secure and protected from vulnerabilities, maintaining security as systems evolve.\nContribute hands-on code and development work, ensuring code quality, scalability and maintainability.\nLead projects end to end across both offices, keeping progress and decisions documented so colleagues in Belgrade and Melbourne are equally informed.\nUse AI tooling to improve processes and reduce repetitive work.\nParticipate in the follow-the-sun on-call rotation.\nMinimum Qualifications\nBachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.\n6+ years of hands-on experience in infrastructure, DevOps or software engineering, with a focus on scalable system design and development.\nExperience with AWS EKS (Kubernetes), Terraform and Datadog / Cloudflare.\nExperience with AWS native services, including EC2, RDS, ElastiCache and IAM.\nFamiliarity with technologies including Terraform, Golang and NodeJS/TypeScript.\nExperience with complex microservices architectures, high user volumes and large-scale distributed systems.\nSolid understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS and VPCs.\nUnderstanding of security best practices and experience implementing them.\nStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to tackle complex technical challenges at scale.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence working as part of a distributed team across time zones.\nA strong sense of accountability and ownership, with a focus on getting things done.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with real-time messaging systems or running services with high connection volumes.\nExperience with load testing and event readiness for high-traffic live platforms.\nExperience with CI/CD tooling such as ArgoCD and GitHub Actions.\nExperience building internal developer platforms or self-service tooling.\nWhy Join Easygo?\nEngineering Environment: Work with a team tackling technical challenges at a scale few platforms reach, with room to experiment, explore ideas and keep learning.\nProfessional Growth: Opportunities to develop your expertise and progress within a growing global technology organisation.\nPerformance Reward: An annual bonus linked to individual and company performance.\nHealth & Family Support: Private health insurance for you and your dependants, plus 15 working days of paid paternity leave.\nOffice Perks: Daily catered lunch, snacks and beverages, parking reimbursement and a modern Belgrade office.\nGlobal Exposure: Opportunities to collaborate with, and occasionally visit, our Melbourne headquarters.\nWe’re an office-first team based in Belgrade, where working side by side makes it easier to exchange ideas, tackle challenges and learn from each other.
