Responsibilities\n\nDesign and develop a centralized cloud-based monitoring platform.\n\nBuild secure APIs for receiving data from IoT monitoring devices.\n\nDevelop databases for storing information from individual devices/equipment.\n\nCreate a real-time monitoring dashboard.\n\nIntegrate GPS/location data with digital maps.\n\nDevelop an automated alert system for predefined abnormal conditions.\n\nCreate different alert categories.\n\nDevelop dashboards for monitoring large numbers of electrical devices/equipment.\n\nImplement historical data storage and reporting to identify recurring faults and trends.\n\nDevelop tools for administrators to register, edit and manage devices/equipment and monitoring devices.\n\nDevelop user authentication and role-based access controls.\n\nEnable SMS, email, WhatsApp or other appropriate notifications where required.\n\nBuild a scalable platform capable of growing from a small pilot to thousands of monitored devices/equipment.\n\nWork closely with the Electrical Engineer to integrate hardware and software systems.\n\nTest APIs, data transmission, alerts and dashboard functionality.\n\nMaintain technical documentation and system architecture.\n\nEnsure appropriate cybersecurity, data protection, system reliability and backup procedures.\n\nRequirements\n\nBachelor's degree, diploma or equivalent professional experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related field.\n\nStrong experience in full-stack web development.\n\nStrong knowledge of backend technologies such as Python, Java, PHP, Node.js or equivalent.\n\nExperience with PostgreSQL, MySQL or similar databases.\n\nStrong knowledge of REST APIs and real-time data communication.\n\nExperience developing responsive web dashboards.\n\nExperience with cloud servers and deployment environments.\n\nExperience with mapping technologies and GPS/location-based applications.\n\nUnderstanding of IoT systems and device-to-server communication is highly desirable.\n\nKnowledge of MQTT or similar IoT communication protocols is an advantage.\n\nExperience
