Initially co-founded by Marco Pierre White and leaders in the food tech scene, we’re now a 200+ person scaleup that’s growing fast and making waves in the industry.\nWhy You’ll Love Working With Us\nA genuinely global role - you'll support finance team across multiple markets and time zones, not just one office\nA fast-growing scaleup where your work is visible and valued, not lost in process\nA supportive, close-knit global finance team who will invest in your growth\nReal ownership from day one, with the backing of an experienced team when you need it\nReporting to the Global Financial Controller, you will work closely with the finance leadership team to lead and train a team of four, oversee day-to-day finance operations, improve processes, strengthen controls, and support business performance.\nJob Description:\nLead, mentor, and develop a team of 4, fostering a culture of accountability, technical excellence, and continuous improvement.\nOversee the procure-to-pay function, ensuring the accurate and timely processing, coding, and reconciliation of financial transactions.\nOversee month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring the timely and accurate preparation of financial results.\nSupport the team in preparing and managing monthly accruals, ensuring expenses are recognised completely and in the correct period. \nReview and manage monthly payroll across multiple entities and countries, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with local requirements.\nMaintain the integrity of the general ledger through oversight of journals, reconciliations, and balance sheet reviews.\nReview and approve weekly payment runs, ensuring appropriate controls and segregation of duties\nManage tax compliance obligations, including GST/VAT, FBT, PAYG/PAYE withholding.\nSupport the preparation of consolidated financial statements and group reporting under IFRS across multiple entities and jurisdictions.\nSupport external audits and regulatory compliance activities, ensuring adherence to statutory and corporate reporting requirements.\nSupport the Global Financial Controller with ad-hoc projects and analysis as assigned. \nSkills & Experience (Required)\n4-6 years of Big 4 experience in Audit and Assurance\nDegree in Accounting or a related discipline\nCA or CPA qualification \nExperience operating across multiple entities and jurisdictions is highly regarded\nExperience using cloud-based accounting software (Xero).\nPrior experience supporting accounting, finance operations, or shared services teams\nExperience with AUS, NZ & UK indirect tax and compliance requirements.\nIt would be extra awesome if you also had...\nExperience implementing or operating NetSuite\nExposure to high-growth environments\nPrior experience in a scaling SaaS or marketplace business\nWorking Environment & Requirements (Important)\nTo be successful in this role, you must have:\nStrong day-to-day spoken and written English (you will communicate regularly with internal stakeholders)\nAvailability to work full-time hours aligned with Australian business hours (9:00am-5:00pm AEST)\nA reliable internet connection\nYour own PC (Windows-based computer required)\nA quiet, dedicated workspace suitable for focused accounting work.\nWho This Role IsNotFor\nThis role isnot suitable if:\nYou are looking for a part-time, freelance, or flexible-hours role\nYou are not comfortable communicating professionally in English on a daily basis\nYou cannot consistently work Australian business hours\nYou do not have prior accounting or finance experience relevant to this role\nYou are seeking additional work on top of your existing\nYou require extensive supervision or unstructured work environments\nOne last note: even if you feel that you don’t meet all the criteria above, we encourage you to apply.
