The ideal candidate has approximately 5 years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience, strong electrical troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently. This role focuses on diagnosing and repairing industrial electrical systems and production equipment. Advanced PLC programming experience is not required; basic PLC troubleshooting knowledge is preferred.\nKey Responsibilities\nTroubleshoot, diagnose, and repair industrial electrical equipment and production machinery.\nRead and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control circuits.\nTroubleshoot 480V industrial power, motors, motor starters, contactors, overloads, breakers, fuses, relays, VFDs, sensors, switches, heaters, thermocouples, and electrical control panels.\nDiagnose motor failures and safely remove, replace, wire, test, and return motors to service.\nUse multimeters and other electrical diagnostic tools to identify electrical faults safely.\nIndependently troubleshoot equipment downtime and restore production safely and efficiently.\nPerform preventive maintenance on electrical equipment, control panels, motors, and safety systems.\nTroubleshoot basic PLC I/O, sensors, and control signals when needed.\nFollow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), electrical safety, arc flash, OSHA, NFPA 70E, and company safety requirements.\nVerify equipment is safe before returning it to production.\nSupport installation, startup, and modification of production equipment.\nWork with mechanical maintenance technicians, operators, engineering, and outside contractors when necessary.\nDocument completed maintenance work and update work orders in the company ERP system.\nSupport extrusion and thermoforming production equipment.\nRequirements\nRequired Qualifications\nApproximately 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.\nStrong hands-on industrial electrical troubleshooting experience.\nAbility to independently diagnose and repair electrical equipment failures.\nAbility to read and troubleshoot using electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.\nExperience troubleshooting and replacing industrial motors.\nExperience with industrial motor controls, including contactors, overloads, starters, and VFDs.\nExperience working with industrial electrical systems, including 480V equipment.\nAbility to safely use a multimeter and other electrical troubleshooting tools.\nStrong understanding of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and electrical safety practices.\nBasic understanding of PLC-controlled equipment and industrial sensors.\nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to work independently while communicating effectively with the maintenance and production teams.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience in plastics manufacturing, extrusion, or thermoforming.\nExperience with Allen-Bradley or Siemens PLC systems.\nBasic PLC troubleshooting experience.\nExperience with heater circuits, thermocouples, vacuum systems, pneumatics, and hydraulics.\nVFD and industrial motor control training.\nNFPA 70E or OSHA safety training.\nTexas Journeyman Electrician License or other relevant electrical certification.\nExperience using CMMS or ERP maintenance work-order systems.\nMechanical maintenance experience is a plus.\nShift & Work Requirements\nMust be able to work in a 24/7 manufacturing environment on an assigned shift.\nMust be available for occasional overtime, weekends, holidays, or emergency maintenance support as required.\nMay participate in an on-call rotation for urgent equipment troubleshooting.\nMust be able to support equipment shutdowns, startups, and installations when required.\nWhat We Are Looking For\nThe successful candidate should be able to independently approach an electrical equipment failure, read the electrical drawing, safely check power and control circuits, identify the cause of the problem, repair or replace the failed component, test the equipment, and safely return the machine to production.\nStrong practical electrical troubleshooting ability and safe work habits are more important for this position than advanced PLC programming experience.\nEatery Essentials/EE Dallas QB is an equal opportunity employer.
