The core hours are Monday through Thursday from 7:00 am until 4:00 pm and Friday from 7:00 am until 11:00 am.\nThis position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.\nPlease note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.\nWhat you’ll do:\nIn this role, you will assemble, wire, modify, and inspect complex electrical and mechanical assemblies while supporting continuous improvement and high-quality production standards. This position requires strong technical abilities, a commitment to safety and quality, and the ability to collaborate effectively across functions.\nWork from manufacturing information, electrical/mechanical drawings, sketches, and written or verbal instructions from supervision or Engineering, following established procedures.\nComplete required documentation including ISO checklists, quality and customer checklists, feedback forms, and production reports.\nMount and install electrical equipment and perform wiring operations as needed.\nAssemble, wire, and modify complex assemblies beyond standard difficulty.\nPerform lifting and assembly of heavy copper components in production processes.\n\nInspect assemblies for missing/loose hardware, accuracy, and cleanliness.\n\nRespond to change notices, customer adjustments, and development needs.\n\nSupport engineering, drafting, and supervision with customer-driven development work.\n\nTrain and coach colleagues to support skills development and knowledge transfer.\n\nThis is the general nature and level of work being performed and is not an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties, or skills required. Other duties may be assigned as business needs require.\nQualifications:\nBasic (Required)\nHigh school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.\nOne year of assembly experience.\nEaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n1 year of industrial manufacturing experience \n1 year of experience using hand and pneumatic (air) tools.\nStrong experience in reading Manufacturing Information (MI)\nSouth Carolina Manufacturing Certification (SCMC) or equivalent\nPosition Criteria:\nWillingness to work flexible hours and overtime based on business needs.\nAbility to safely use hand tools, power tools, step ladders, and cranes in a Lean manufacturing environment.\nProficiency with standard computer applications (Microsoft Outlook/Teams) and job-specific systems such as ENOVIA.\nPhysical Demands (with or without reasonable accommodation):\nRegularly required to stand, walk, sit, reach at or above shoulder level, grip, and use hands for handling and material manipulation.\nFrequently required to stoop, lift, carry, push, and pull.\nAble to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., and push/pull 50 lbs. or more.\nMay be required to operate material-handling equipment, including powered industrial vehicles.\nMust meet vision requirements, including near and far vision, depth perception, and color discrimination.\nWork Environment\nRegular exposure to noise and frequent exposure to dust in a manufacturing environment.\n\nWe are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
