The hourly rate for this position is $21.89 per hour. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.\nCORE HOURS: MONDAY THRU THURSDAY (5:30AM - 3:30PM)\nPlease note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.\nWhat you’ll do:\nIn the Assembly Technician role, you assemble, wire, and modify work based on specified guidelines in the manufacture of medium and high voltage, indoor and outdoor assemblies, breaker and auxiliary compartments, breakers, customer service orders, power modules, and any sub-assemblies associated with these.\nAssemble, wire, fit, and modify high complex assemblies, including non-standard such as Special Assembly, Power Companies, and Pull and Switch Sections, demonstrating advanced understanding.\nFill out ISO checklists, quality checklists, customer checklists, feedback forms, and production lists for supervision, drafting, customer service, and engineering as required.\nMount and install electrical equipment and perform wire operations as needed.\nRegularly lift and assemble with heavy copper parts.\nMaintain minimum levels of Kanban inventory and report shortages to appropriate operators.\nInspect all assemblies for loose or missing hardware and cleanliness.\nResponding to change notices, customer requested adjustments, and development needs.\nAssist engineering, drafting, and supervision with customer-initiated development work.\nWork to manufacturing information, electrical and mechanical drawings, sketches, written or oral instructions from supervision or Engineering to established procedures.\nPull drawings for units using ENOVIA.\nPOSITION CRITERIA:\nStrong verbal and written communication skills, persuasive skills, and analytical problem-solving skills\nWork with individuals and groups to effectively participate within team environment.\nWilling to work flexible hours and overtime in support of business needs.\nUtilize various hand and power tools, step ladder and crane to assemble and verify quality in a Lean environment.\nMust be able to use standard computer programs such as Microsoft Outlook/Teams and job specific programs such as ENOVIA.\nQualifications:\nBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:\nMust have a high school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.\nMinimum of one year’s manufacturing experience in an industrial environment\nEaton will not consider applicants for employment, immigration sponsorship or support for this position. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:\nMinimum of one (1) year in a SG37 assembly role.\nCompleted qualifications through pay for skill\nMinimum of two (2) years of manufacturing experience in an industrial manufacturing environment\nMinimum of (1) year of experience using hand and air tools.\nExperience in reading Manufacturing Information documents (MI)\nSouth Carolina Manufacturing Certification (SCMC) or equivalent\nAdditional Information:\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS:\nWhile performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; reach at or above shoulder level; grip; and use hands to handle and feel. The employee is frequently required to walk; stoop; lift; carry; push; pull; and grip. The employee is frequently required to lift/carry up to 50 pounds. The employee is frequently required to push/pull up to or greater than 50 pounds. The employee may be required to use material handling equipment, including powered industrial vehicles. The vision requirements include far and close vision with depth perception and color discrimination.
