Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.\nWhat you’ll do:\nEaton’s Mission Systems Division is currently seeking a A&T Technician II. This position is based at our Orchard Park, NY facility and is responsible for performing assembly and test processes on aerospace hardware. Development of hardware, creating functional test setups, working with various high pressure gases, and initiating engineering collaboration to successfully deliver quality aerospace components and systems. Technicians are Responsible for communicating and coordinating with the Production Supervisor regarding specific production needs (part availability, equipment, production status, and schedule updates) to ensure on-time delivery. Perform assembly and testing of production hardware within the confines of the systems and procedures and the certified operator system.\nJob Responsibilities\n- Responsible for ensuring that compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety standards are met.\n- Obtain and maintain Certified Operator Status including job specific training/certifications and ERP system data entry in accordance with site guidelines.\n- Posesses knowledge/experience with assembly and test requirements. Ability to evaluate mechanical systems, use of common assembly tools/measuring equipment.\n- Independently perform low and moderate complexity assembly and test operations following written instructions.\n- Ability to perform low to moderate complexity product testing using test equipment while following written acceptance test documents.\n- Understands product quality requirements and follows non-conforming material processes. Reports findings to team and generates non-conforming hardware documentation.\n- Basic understanding of pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems, and able to troubleshoot low to moderate issues with minimal supervision.\n- Basic experience with ERP systems and standard Microsoft applications.\nQualifications:\nBasic Qualifications\nLive within 50 miles\nHigh School diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution\n2 years of relevant manufacturing/ mechanical experience or Military experience\nDemonstrated ability to use various hand tools and measuring equipment. Can follow work instructions and perform tasks without supervision.\nUS Citizen or Permanent Resident\nPreferred Qualifications\nHigh School Diploma with Skilled Trade certification or Associates Degree or Equivalent experience.\n3 years of Aerospace Manufacturing or Assmebly and Test\nDemonstrated ability to complete all required technical skills above.\nDemonstrated ability to use various hand tools and measuring equipment.\nCan follow work instructions and perform tasks without supervision.\nSkills:\nPosition Criteria / Soft Skills\nDemonstrated ability to complete all required soft skills above.\nAbility to communicate effectively, manage time and adapt to various work environments.\nDemonstrated understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, Cellular Manufacturing, One Piece Flow, and Continuous Improvement concepts\nWe are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
