We are actively working to upgrade our equipment which will give you the opportunity to work with brand new machines while being part of a team that is experiencing rapid growth!\nThis is a 2nd shift role that has core hours of 2 pm - 11:15 pm, M-F.\nThe hourly rate for this position is $26.50 per hour + 15% shift premium.\nPlease note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.\nWhat you’ll do:\nThe CNC Machinist (Operator A) is responsible for setting up and operating various CNC Mills and Lathes to produce parts to engineering drawings. They identify and use proper tools, gages, and equipment for the process.\nIn this role, you will:\nInterpret blueprints generated per ANSI/ASME Y14.5 guidelines (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing). Manufacture parts which conform to same specification.\nSet up and run CNC lathes (3 & 4.5 axis) in a production environment and/or CNC mills (4 & 5 axis) in a production environment.\nInterpret and edit “G-code” NC programs\nSet-up and operate simple machine tools such as drill presses, manual presses, saws, shears, etc.\nSet-up and operate manual lathes and/or mills\nSharpen various cutting tools\nInspect GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) features using basic and advanced inspection techniques such as vernier, micrometers, indicators, comparators, bore mics., surface plate, Coordinate Measuring Machines, etc.\nAssist Manufacturing Engineering with most intermediate and some advanced troubleshooting on machining product.\nAssist Manufacturing Engineering with process development and tool identification.\nTrain others on machines and processes within Value Stream.\nIdentify and initiate continuous improvement for product safety, quality, efficiency (cost). \nQualifications:\nRequired (Basic) Qualifications:\nRequired: High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution\nMinimum of 3 years of Machinist or Tool Maker experience working in the trade.\nEaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience or formal education in design/drafting with emphasis on CAD\nCNC programming experience, specifically MasterCAM\n5+ years of experience in trade as a machinist or tool maker\nSkills/Position Criteria:\nProficiency in trigonometry\nTool sharping including boring bars, drills on darex, tree pan tools\nAbility to run most equipment in turning or milling\nAbility to use a personal computer\nProficient in print reading and inspection that includes CMM (milling).\nAll positions may require participation in video and in-person interviews as part of the hiring process.
