Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.\nWhat you’ll do:\nThe Manufacturing Controls Engineer is responsible for supporting plant leadership in achieving business and financial goals by developing and maintaining robust testing and assembly processes. The Manufacturing Controls Engineer will actively participate and support the design, development, fabrication, validation, installation, and troubleshooting of production equipment and programs\n.\nIn this role you will:\nProvide guidelines for the design and selection of test equipment, Developing testing protocols, test data collection programs and best practices.\nSupport, service, and trouble shoot controls for production equipment, test equipment, and electrical systems within the plant.\nDevelop test equipment specifications ensuring compliance with electrical safe work practices and OSHA requirements. Identify and remediate potential safety hazards.\nDeveloping interfaces between SQL databases and production systems.\nEnforce safety expectations, document, and communicate hazards and unsafe conditions to ensure a zero-incident culture and product conformance to electrical safety and quality standards.\nCollaborate with manufacturing, MESH, manufacturing engineering, quality, product design engineering, suppliers, and customers as needed.\nPerforms root cause and failure analysis, applying critical thinking and problem-solving skills. \nGuide the capital equipment selection process and develop Capital Appropriation Requests (CARS) for new products or process initiatives. \nActively participate in assessment processes within the manufacturing environment, potentially as a category lead or champion. \nLead/co-lead cost-out initiatives and promotes culture of continuous improvement.\nCollaborates cross functionally using Lean and Six Sigma tools to solve manufacturing problems.\nLeverages advanced technology to improve the effectiveness of information systems for controls.\nSeeks opportunities to eliminate waste associated with the flow of factory floor test information. Leads/co-leads projects, develop goals, budgets, and work breakdown structures. \nExecute sustained change management within manufacturing operations, utilizing change management techniques such as ADKAR to drive and sustain improvements. \nQualifications:\nBasic Qualifications:\nBachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution\nTwo (2) years of engineering experience in a manufacturing testing environment\nRelocation assistance will be provided for candidates that reside outside a 50-mile radius of Jonesville, SC. \nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with National Instruments hardware (DIO, DAQ, GPIB, PXI) and software (LabView, TestStand)\nMedium and High voltage and high current testing\nLabView certification is a plus.\nExperience in NFPA70E and OSHA Regulations in Electrical Safety (Arc Flash, LOTO, Approach Boundaries, PPE selection and testing)\nSix Sigma or/and Lean Manufacturing\nExperience in reading, marking up and updating blue prints, wiring diagrams and electrical schematics and one-line drawings\nExperience in designing and deploying various PLC hardware and software - RSLogix5, 500 &5000, Siemens Step 7, Allen-Bradley HMI systems, VB.Net and C#\nWe are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
