The salary for this role ranges from $22.15 - $37.50 per hour.\nPosition Overview:\nPassion for technology meets keenly managed business processes in the Early Career Internship Program - Information Technology. Over the course of this 12-week paid internship, students explore how data, AI, digital tools, and connected systems help teams work smarter, make better decisions, and improve how products are made and delivered. You’ll gain hands-on experience at manufacturing sites and in key functional teams, learn directly from business and technology leaders, and see how IT plays a critical role in powering innovation across Eaton. This program is a great fit for curious problem-solvers who enjoy learning in fast-moving environments, working with others, and turning ideas into practical solutions.\nAssignments could include:\nWorking with manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, quality and IT to map an end-to-end business process and the supporting data and systems \nSupporting the implementation and scaling of digital tools to improve production execution, shop-floor visibility, traceability and connectivity \nBuilding or improving data pipelines, models and analytics that connect information across business processes\nTesting applications, workflows, integrations or AI-enabled capabilities that solve a defined business problem \nAfter completion of the internship program, your technical skills combined with your newly acquired business acumen will prepare you to be considered for Eaton’s Information Technology Development Program upon graduation.\nRequired (Basic) Qualifications:\nActively enrolled or received a bachelor’s or master's degree in a STEM field or business major from an accredited institution\nMinimum overall cumulative GPA of 2.8\nMust be geographically flexible to relocate within the United States\nEaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. This means that Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1 to H-1B, H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, I-485 job portability, etc. \nPreferred Qualifications:\nDegree in management information systems, computer science/engineering, data analytics, industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, systems engineering, supply chain, business analytics or a related field\nOverall cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher\nPrevious internship or co-op experience in manufacturing operations, systems integration, data, AI, product ownership, application delivery, process improvement or business-facing technology roles\nExperience through internships, co-ops, projects, research or leadership activities that demonstrate problem solving, collaboration and execution\nDemonstrated leadership experience within campus and/or the community\nPosition Criteria:\nPassion for how products are designed, built, and delivered, with enthusiasm for partnering directly with operations teams and business leaders in a dynamic manufacturing environment where ideas become reality \nStrong relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to listen first, collaborate effectively, and work across technical, operational, and business functions\nHands-on problem solver who seeks to understand the work, identify root causes, and connect business needs with practical technology solutions, including data, AI, applications, and digital tools\nProcess-oriented thinker with strong prioritization skills, a focus on measurable outcomes, and the ability to improve how work gets done through execution and continuous improvement\nHighly adaptable and learning agile, with openness to relocation, travel, changing business needs, and fast-paced environments that require ownership, follow-through, and credibility through results\nThis role may include travel (up to 25%) within a local region as determined by the assignment manager \nTransportation to and from the worksite and for incidental business travel is the responsibility of the intern; however, expenses for required and approved business travel (not including the worksite) will be reimbursed \nThe summer internship culminates with a formal presentation where students showcase their success stories to leaders of the organization and receive feedback on their performance\nDemonstrate geographic flexibility to relocate within the United States for the duration of the Internship Program including the ability to relocate to an Eaton facility including (but not limited to): Beachwood, OH: Raleigh, NC; Greenwood, SC; Sumter, SC; Milwaukee, WI and El Paso, TX\nAll positions may require participation in video and in-person interviews as part of the hiring process.
