Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.\nWhat you’ll do:\nEaton Mission Systems in Davenport, Iowa is seeking an EHS Supervisor to lead EHS team members and cross-functional stakeholders across a complex manufacturing environment, utilizing both subject matter expertise and engagement to drive EHS programs to enable the achievement of regulatory and corporate requirements. This position supports the creation of a strong culture that engages employees to foster a \"zero incident\" EHS culture.\nKey Responsibilities\nSupport the creation of site targets and objectives in support of corporate, regional and business group EHS strategic initiatives designed to drive EHS culture, compliance, and results.\nDrives preventative and proactive action projects to mitigate and eliminate risks through root cause identification and corrective actions for EHS activities.\nEnsures that federal, state, and local EHS regulations are met including air, land, and water to provide a safe working environment for employees and a clean and healthful environment for the community.\nDrive the assignment of MESH cross-functional element champions and facilitate their engagement in ownership of respective MESH elements.\nUse established EHS data processes to manage data such as injuries and illnesses, environmental metrics, risk assessments, EHS action items and other pertinent information.\nWork with site leadership team and facilities to ensure key EHS operational controls are in place, on a PM program, and that EHS action items are resolved on a timely basis.\nProvide technical oversight to ensure compliance with local, state and federal environmental regulations including: RCRA, SWPPP, SPCC, CWA, etc.\nEnsure environmental data is collected and submitted on time\nServe as liaison with applicable external regulatory agencies during compliance audits.\nDevelop and manage compliance trainings and site-wide communications as necessary to address trends and promote employee engagement.\nProvide guidance and support for Eaton's Management of Change process (facilities changes, chemical reviews, and process changes).\nManage and support site EHS Training Plan.\nManage EHS team members directly and indirectly to ensure regulatory and corporate compliance needs.\nMaintain responsibility for the environmental compliance programs for the facilities, including Stormwater, Wastewater, Chemical Management, and other programs as needed. Contribute as site primary or secondary Emergency Response Coordinator.\nCollect, analyze, and report environmental data related to compliance and sustainability for the facility.\nRespond to and mitigate emergency situations at the facility inside or outside of normal business hours\nAll other related duties as assigned\nQualifications:\nMinimum Qualifications\nBachelor's degree from an accredited institution with 3 years of EHS experience within an industrial manufacturing environment OR an Associates degree from an accredited institution with 5 years of EHS experience within an industrial manufacturing environment\nMinimum 1 year experience leading or managing people (direct or indirect)\nEaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations applicable to that information, applicant must be a U.S. person, defined as a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (green card holder), (iii) refugee under 8 U.S.C. 1157, or (iv) asylee under 8 U.S.C. 1158.”\nPreferred Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences, Environmental Management, Environmental Engineering, Safety Engineering, Chemical Engineering or other EHS related field\nCertified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) certification.\nComprehension of industry, state, and country EHS requirements\nFamiliarity with ISO 14001 and other Occupational Health and Safety management system standards. Experience creating and/or updating environmental plans, permits and standard operating procedures. Experience working with EHS management systems and maintaining ISO 14001 certifications.\nAbility to lead and support cross-functional EHS teams\nAbility to listen effectively and express ideas clearly to exchange information in a team environment\nAbility to make independent judgments on technical issues\nStrong time management and organizational skills\nPosition Criteria\nKnowledge of manufacturing practices and processes and the relationship to environmental, safety and health risk.\nExperience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and basic computer applications.\nAbility to work in an office, indoor, and outdoor industrial environment.\nAbility to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.\nAbility to climb stairs and ladders.\nWe are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
