Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.\nWhat you’ll do:\nPosition Overview:\nEaton’s Milton Plant has an immediate opening for an Electrical Assembler, day shift. Reporting to the Production Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the mounting and wiring of components and sub-assemblies.\nThe Electrical Assembler is responsible for the safety of the electrical systems so they must know and adhere to government regulations, building codes, and safety rules.\nIn this function you will:\nCross check electrical and mechanical components required for the build against the bill of material.\nLayout enclosures and sub panels for assembly/cut-outs based on information provided.\nUnderstand various methods of connection and apply proper methods to the equipment that is being built.\nWire equipment with proper voltage level, current level and industry standard colour code per drawings provided.\nOrganize circuitry within panels for proper voltage level separation.\nEscalate schematic concerns as appropriate via correct channel(s).\nRepair and modify any errors detected by test/inspection.\nWork to CSA and UL code.\nMaintain the accuracy and integrity of the internal KANBAN process.\nUse various electrical components, gauges, and power tools to assemble, adjust, or repair product.\nMaintain equipment and perform housekeeping duties as necessary.\nAssist with on-the-job training and continuous improvement.\nFollow standard layouts as required.\nPerform pull test on wire when completed.\nPerform other duties as required.\nQualifications:\nRequired (Basic) Qualifications:\nMinimum of 1 year of 1 control wiring experience.\nHigh School Diploma or equivalency.\nMust be legally eligible to work in Canada without company sponsorship now and in the future.\nNo relocation is offered for this position. All candidates must currently reside within 80 KM of Milton, ON to be considered.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nAbility to read and interpret bill of materials, and engineering drawings.\nKnowledge of Lean manufacturing processes and Six Sigma Tools.\nSkills:\nPosition Criteria:\nWorking knowledge of the mechanical, electrical, and safety procedures of a manufacturing facility.\nAble to accurately layout, mount, wire, and troubleshoot industrial power and control components.\nUnderstand various methods of connection and apply proper methods to the equipment you are building.\nAbility to multi-task and work in a fast paced/changing environment.\nGood communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.\nGood PC skills, including MS office (Word, Excel and Power Point).\nEffective time management and project management skills.\nThis posting is for an existing vacancy.\nAt Eaton we leverage artificial intelligence to recommend jobs to you that match the skills and experience required for the open role.
