Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.\nWhat you’ll do:\nEaton’s Energy Transition business is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the development, integration, testing, and validation of battery energy storage and EV charging solutions. This is an early-career opportunity to gain hands-on experience with power electronics, energy storage, EV charging, controls, and system integration, while working with multidisciplinary engineering teams.\nSupport the design, integration, testing, and troubleshooting of BESS, EV charging, and electrification systems.\nDevelop and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, specifications, and engineering documentation.\nSupport integration and validation of batteries, power conversion systems, controls, and communication interfaces.\nPerform laboratory testing, collect and analyze data, and help troubleshoot electrical and system-level issues.\nCollaborate with electrical, firmware/software, mechanical, systems, manufacturing, and quality teams.\nSupport prototype builds, design reviews, product validation, certification, and field commissioning activities.\nDevelop test procedures, engineering reports, and work instructions.\nContribute to product safety, reliability, quality, and performance improvements\nQualifications:\nRequired (Basic) Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution (December 2026 grads are eligible to apply!)\nMinimum one (1) year of relevant engineering experience, which may include internship, co-op, research, or significant hands-on project experience.\nEaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation\nPreferred Qualifications:\nCoursework or hands-on experience in power electronics, such as converters, inverters, DC/DC converters, motor drives, or power supplies.\nExposure to battery energy storage, EV charging, renewable energy, or power distribution systems.\nFamiliarity with batteries, BMS, power conversion systems, or energy management/control systems.\nFamiliarity with CAN, Modbus, or other industrial communication protocols.\nFirmware/programming experience using C/C++, Python, embedded systems, or microcontrollers is a plus.\nMechanical or electromechanical design aptitude is a plus.\nExperience with oscilloscopes, power analyzers, data acquisition systems, or CAN tools is preferred.\nSkills:\nFundamental knowledge of electrical circuits, power electronics, power systems, or controls.\nAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.\nExperience using basic electrical laboratory equipment such as multimeters and oscilloscopes.\nStrong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.\nCommitment to electrical safety and safe work practices.\nStrong engineering fundamentals and interest in power electronics and electrification.\nHands-on technical problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.\nCuriosity and ability to learn new technologies quickly.\nEffective collaboration across multidisciplinary engineering teams.\nStrong technical communication and documentation skills.\nCommitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.\nAbility to support domestic and international travel up to 10%.\nAll positions may require participation in video and in-person interviews as part of the hiring process.
