Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.\nWhat you’ll do:\nEaton’s EPG CHD ALP Airport Lighting Products division is currently seeking a Assembly Test Technician. This position is based at our Windsor, CT location. The Assembly Test Technician will assist in the assembly, test and validation of production products\nPlease note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.\n\nWhat you’ll do:\nWork with production supervisor to identify required product test and validation requirements on the production floor. Setup and perform such testing as required including working in production assembly cells in a test capacity.\nIdentify any product failures and assist engineering in troubleshooting those failures\nImplement corrective actions in test methods or product assembly as required.\nSupport all required electrical and mechanical safety requirements in the work cells by inspection and implementation as required\nDevelop and deploy Windows operating system images for HMIs and manage licensing\nSupport Quality by analyzing returned units, and determining root cause analysis.\nTroubleshoot warranty and service issues and complete repairs as needed.\nQualifications:\nBasic Qualifications:\nHigh School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution\n2+ years of technician experience in a manufacturing setting\n2+ years experience in basic testing tools including DMMs, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, hi-pot testers, calipers & dial indicators, environmental chambers, and similar.\nMust be authorized to work in the United States without Company sponsorship\nNo relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing in the immediate geographical area (50 miles) of Windsor, CT will be considered.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nAn associate degree in electrical or computer science from an accredited institution\n3+ years of technician experience in a manufacturing setting\nExperience building Windows images for computer products\nStrong knowledge of SAP\nSkills:\nElectro-mechanical knowledge\nUnderstanding of product validation testing (environmental, electrical, mechanical).\nProficiency in basic testing tools including DMMs, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, hi-pot testers, calipers & dial indicators, environmental chambers, and similar.\nProficiency in MS Word, MS Excel\nWillingness to work in a production environment performing product testing & troubleshooting\nOrganizational and planning skills\nGeneral skills needed to identify, address, and solve technical problems\nMust possess effective verbal & written communication skills to interface with managers, vendors, customers and peers.
