This position is part of the New Product Introduction development team in DIT Datacenter Group in EIIC. The Engineer is responsible for the development of power conversion and distribution products in Powerrack and Compute Rack from initial proposal through production launch for the Datacenter market. This role is responsible for leading large scale global platform engineering activities across the functions of electrical, mechanical, and embedded software engineering to develop Datacenter power conversion products.\nSuccess in this position requires the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment, strong motivation for pursuing project objectives and the ability to learn new techniques and development processes. Problem solvers who are excited about learning new technologies, Understand and develop actions to increase maturity, work with team members for concept generation, detailed design and industrialization activities.\nPower supply chassis design, Thermal management, Packaging design, IT / Server Racks design & development, Concept generation, Prototyping & testing, Drafting, CAD Modeling, PLM release.\nDesign to meet product form, fit & function requirements, plan CAD execution activities, ability of working in ambuiguity to drive changes.\nWork on Enovia PLM & ensure proposed changes are release through Change Order activities, while ensuring Quality of deliverables.\nIdentify opportunities and drive Continuous Improvement actions with DMAIC / Lean six sigma methodology in projects.\nMaintain and enhance technical proficiency in mechanical engineering related development environments, processes, and tools.\nPlan and manage work to achieve on-time delivery & First pass yeild for deliverables.\nIdentify, communicate, and mitigate risks as they arise during resolving concerns, requests.\nGenerate ideas and innovative solutions which will provide competitive edge to business products.\nThink creatively and come out with new proposals and present them to stakeholders.\nDevelop design guidelines, best practices and lessons learnt documents and shares with peers and team.\nActive communication with the cross functional team to leverage best practices & drive product & process improvement.\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s/Master’s degree in engineering in Mechanical\n3-6 years of experience in product design\nSkills:\nExpert in Power supply chassis design, Thermal Management.\nExperience with Packaging design.\nExperience with Server Rack design, Busbar design, connector selection.\nExpert in Sheetmetal design & drafting.\nHaving Knowledge of UL Standards (UL2416 & UL626238).\nPackaging Design for IT / Server Racks & Enclosure.\nExpertise in DFMA / Manufacturing Knowledge of IT / Server Racks.\nHands on experience in Enovia PLM ECO process.\nProficient in Creo, SolidWorks & AutoCAD softwares.\nKnowledge in Product & Process improvement methodologies.
