The role combines hardware engineering expertise with ownership of technical documentation deliverables, ensuring that all product-related manuals, labels, technical drawings, and engineering documentation are accurate, compliant, and maintained throughout the product lifecycle.\nThe position will support modernization of existing products and development of new products while ensuring compliance with applicable standards, customer requirements, and Eaton documentation processes.\nHardware Engineering\nConceptualize, specify, design, develop, and validate electronic hardware and PCBA solutions for protection, control, monitoring, and Life Safety products.\nDevelop robust hardware architectures aligned with customer requirements, regulatory standards, and product specifications.\nPerform analog and digital circuit design, component selection, schematic capture, and hardware integration activities.\nConduct simulations, prototyping, laboratory testing, EMC/EMI validation, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.\nSupport product industrialization activities, manufacturing readiness reviews, and production ramp-up.\nResolve hardware design issues while optimizing performance, manufacturability, reliability, and cost.\nParticipate in technical reviews, risk assessments, DFSS activities, and continuous product improvement initiatives.\nCollaborate with Product Management, Quality, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams throughout the product lifecycle.\nTechnical Documentation\nOwn the creation, maintenance, and release of product technical documentation throughout the development lifecycle.\nDevelop and maintain user manuals, installation guides, maintenance instructions, service documentation, and technical specifications.\nCreate and maintain product labels, packaging labels, engineering drawings, and technical illustrations.\nGenerate and manage engineering documentation including schematics, BOMs, design reports, validation reports, test procedures, and test reports.\nEnsure documentation accuracy within PLM systems and maintain revision control according to company processes.\nCoordinate with engineering teams, manufacturing teams, and external suppliers to ensure documentation consistency and compliance.\nSupport regulatory and certification activities by providing required technical documentation.\nDrive continuous improvement of documentation templates, processes, and best practices.\nCross-Functional Activities\nSupport project planning and execution activities.\nPrepare technical presentations, progress reports, and design reviews.\nEnsure compliance with IEC, UL, and other applicable product standards and directives.\nProvide technical guidance and support to cross-functional teams.\nPromote engineering excellence and knowledge sharing across the organization.\nQualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related discipline.\nMinimum 4 years of experience in electronic hardware design and development.\nExperience in industrial electronics, embedded hardware, control systems, or Life Safety products.\n\nExperience creating and maintaining technical documentation for engineering products.\n\nExperience supporting product certification, validation, and industrialization activities.\n\nAnalog and digital electronics design\nPCB design principles and manufacturing processes\nEmbedded microprocessor and microcontroller based systems\nElectronic circuit simulation and analysis\nEMC/EMI design and testing\nHardware debugging and laboratory validation techniques.\nEngineering documentation management\nProduct Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems such as Enovia.\nERP systems such as SAP.\nGood to have experience in technical illustration and documentation tools including:Adobe Illustrator, SolidWorks Composer, Adobe InDesign\nDesign for Six Sigma (DFSS) methodology.\nKnowledge of relevant standards such as IEC, UL, and product safety requirements.\nProficiency in hardware design tools such as Altium, Cadence, Mentor Graphics, or equivalent.\"\nSoft Skills\nStrong technical writing and communication skills.\nFluency in written and spoken English\nLiving and Working in Dubai\nDubai is an internationally connected city that offers strong professional opportunities within a truly global environment.
