Are you ready?\nWhat you’ll do:\nOver the course of this 10 to 12 week paid internship, students will engage in projects that hold tangible significance for our business. The Engineering/Continuous Improvement Internship at the Middlesex, NC site develops students through practical manufacturing and operations experiences.\nManufacturing Engineering and Continuous Improvement:\nPartner with Manufacturing Engineering, Continuous Improvement, and Operators to resolve manufacturing problems and remove waste/non-value added work\nActively participate in a Rapid Improvement Event\nImplement Poka-Yoke(s) (Error Proofing Devices)\nUpdate BOMs (bills of material) and routers in the sites ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system\nRecord time studies for variety of manufacturing and Quality assurance processes\nAssist with validation of new machines/equipment\nQualifications:\nRequired (Basic) Qualifications:\nMust be enrolled in an engineering program at NC State University\nMust have a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher\nThis position requires the use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
