Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.\nIn this internship, you will:\nGain an understanding of how various functional processes must interact to achieve common goals of safety, quality, cost and delivery.\nExperience in Lean manufacturing and product development.\nImprove communication and interpersonal skills.\nBecome a part of an effective team working together to accomplish the mutual objective.\nRecognize how everyone’s contribution affects the end product that we build day-in and day-out.\nGain an understanding of the financial aspects of the business and how complete and accurate Engineering deliverables leads to the companies success.\nInternship highlights:\nSpend 5 weeks working in the manufacturing plant areas and learn the process flow.\nAccompany a supervisor for hands-on experience in the production facility.\nWork with Quality Inspectors and learn various aspects of the quality process.\nAssist Project Engineers and learn standard work processes, standard documents, Engineering and design standards, how to design a PDC, etc.\nFollow a Manufacturing Engineer to understand process flow and the many components of the manufacturing process.\nLearn about Lean manufacturing and product development.\nWork on a group project(s) along with fellow Engineering Interns to improve a manufacturing process.\nReport out to the leadership team on outcomes of assigned projects.\nQualifications:\nBasic (Required) Qualifications:\nMust be actively enrolled in a bachelor's degree program from an accredited institution in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related engineering field, and be entering your junior or senior year \nMust have a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 2.8.\nEaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. Relocation assistance will be provided for candidates that reside outside a 50-mile radius of Minden, LA\nPreferred Qualifications:\nDemonstrated leadership through campus organizations, student projects, athletics, volunteer activities, or community involvement.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.\nExperience with engineering and design software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar programs.\nStrong verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail.\nDemonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment while managing individual responsibilities.\nBasic understanding of engineering principles, manufacturing processes, and continuous improvement concepts.\nEagerness to learn, take initiative, and contribute in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\nAbility to analyze problems, evaluate solutions, and apply critical-thinking skills to engineering challenges.\nAll positions may require participation in video and in-person interviews as part of the hiring process.
