This position assists in maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient work environment by performing general facility support tasks, responding to operational needs, and reinforcing safety and housekeeping standards. This role provides foundational exposure to facilities maintenance and plant operations.\nKey Responsibilities\nFollow all safety policies, procedures, and Life Saving Rules at all times\nIdentify and report unsafe conditions, hazards, or near-miss incidents\nSupport safety audits, inspections, and “find-it/fix-it” activities\nEnsure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)\nMaintain clean, organized, and hazard-free work areas aligned with 5S standards\nPerform basic facility upkeep, including cleaning, organizing, and minor repairs\nAssist with routine facility inspections and report maintenance needs\nSupport preventative maintenance activities under direction of maintenance personnel\nAssist with building systems support (lighting, minor repairs, basic upkeep)\nSupport grounds maintenance activities such as snow removal or exterior cleanup as needed\nSupport movement, staging, and organization of materials and equipment\nRespond to facility-related requests as directed by leadership\nParticipate in continuous improvement (CI) initiatives and team activities\nIdentify opportunities to improve safety, efficiency, and workplace organization\nSupport plant initiatives such as tier meetings, 5S, and safety campaigns\nQualifications:\nBasic Qualifications\nHigh school diploma or GED (preferred)\nAbility to work in a manufacturing or industrial environment\nAbility to follow instructions and work safely with minimal supervision\nBasic communication and teamwork skills\nPreferred Qualifications\nPrior experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or facilities environment\nBasic understanding of safety practices in an industrial setting\nMechanical aptitude or interest in facilities/maintenance work\nSkills:\nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours)\nAbility to lift, push, or pull materials (typically up to 35 lbs.)\nAbility to perform repetitive tasks and work in varying environmental conditions\nKey Success Factors\nStrong commitment to safety and compliance\nReliability and flexibility to support plant needs\nPositive attitude and team-oriented mindset\nWillingness to learn and develop new skills\nWe are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
