Are you ready?\nWhat you’ll do:\nThe Product Engineer Intern is responsible for assisting the Maintenance of Line (MoL) Engineering team in providing sustaining engineering support for overhead and underground medium voltage reclosers, fault interrupters and switches.\nWorking under the guidance of experienced engineers, the Product Engineer intern performs engineering analysis, creates detailed designs, executes verification tests and contributes to the implementation of product cost savings, product improvement, and engineering process improvement projects.\nOur engineering teams are passionate about designing products and services that are more efficient, reliable, safe, and sustainable. With five Eaton facilities and more than 1500 employees located in Wisconsin, Eaton’s local footprint enables our employees with state-of-the-art laboratories and access to manufacturing that allows us to deliver robust solutions to our utility, commercial and industrial customers.\nIn this role you will:\nDevelop, sustain, and improve product design and product definition data (bills of materials, 3D models, drawings, and specifications).\nAssist in tasks associated with the introduction of new products and changes to existing products.\nSupport production and manufacturing engineering with resolution of production and testing issues.\nLearn and apply methods for Design for Manufacture/ Assembly (DFM/DFA).\nLearn and apply engineering analysis and simulation tools (CAD, FEA, statistical software, etc.).\nSets aggressive goals, measures performance, and strives to go beyond what is expected.\nQualifications:\nRequired Qualifications:\nActively enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering at an accredited institution with a graduation date no earlier than December 2027. \nMinimum GPA of 2.8 or above.\nEaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position.
