The hourly salary for this role ranges from $20.77 - $25.96 per hour.\nWhat you’ll do:\nPosition Overview:\nThe Electrical Engineering Services and Systems global service team is one of the largest and most experienced teams of power system professionals in the industry. As one of our engineers, you'll help to provide solutions to our customers' power problems at every stage of the power system.\nThe Power Systems Engineering Internship is designed to provide opportunities to participants who demonstrate the same high level of ethics, values, creativity and performance we expect from our employees. During the 12-week paid internship, participants will work on projects that have a measurable impact on our business and will be coached and mentored by leaders within the division. Eaton's Power Systems Engineers deliver professional engineering, design, and analysis services. As one of our engineers, you’ll help our clients’ electrical systems operate more reliably, efficiently and safely. As part of our team, you’ll help share our experience and technical know-how in the areas of power systems studies, power quality analysis, electrical design and training.\nIn this internship, you will:\nProvide applied engineering and technical consultation for multiple customers in power systems studies, power quality analysis, equipment startup, installation, maintenance, repair and training. \nSupport wide portfolio of clients from project start through final on-site presentation and training. \nInterpret specs and customer inquiries to design technical proposals and power system recommendations for customers. \nOperate in an entrepreneurial environment with the mission of providing high quality support and solutions with a key emphasis placed on motivated lead times and sustained relationships with the Eaton sales team and end-users. \nThis internship will help prepare you for both technical and future leadership roles at Eaton. As an intern, you will be provided with a structured training and development curriculum; a blend of instructor-led, virtual classrooms, eLearning courses, and on-the-job training provided by expert mentors and team members to assist you in developing your career.\nQualifications:\nRequired (Basic) Qualifications:\nActively enrolled or received a degree in a bachelor’s or master’s program in engineering with a focus in Electrical or Electrical/Computer Engineering from an accredited institution \nMinimum overall cumulative GPA of 2.8 \nEaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. This means that Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1 to H-1B, H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, I-485 job portability, etc. \nMust be geographically flexible to relocate within the United States\nMust have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. \nPreferred Qualifications:\nOverall cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher \nCoursework in three phase circuit analysis, power systems analysis or electrical machines \nExperience with engineering software (AutoCAD, MATLAB, SKM, EasyPower, and/or ETAP) \nDemonstrated leadership experience within campus and/or the community \nPosition Criteria:\nLocation will be in one of five major regions within the United States (i.e. Central, Northeast, Southeast, Gulf and West regions); typically in or near a major U.S. city \nTransportation to and from the worksite, and for incidental business travel, is the responsibility of the intern. \nStrong analytical, computer, writing and presentation skills \nPhysical Demands: While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, squat, reach to or below shoulder level, lift, carry, push, pull, and use hands to handle and feel. The employee is frequently required to climb and reach above shoulder level. The employee is regularly required to lift, carry, push or pull up to 50 pounds.
