Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.\nWhat you’ll do:\nLead the development and commercialization of new Hot Aisle Containment product platforms through Eaton's NPD process.\nServe as technical lead for multiple concurrent engineering projects, providing direction, prioritization, and execution oversight.\nDrive cross-functional collaboration across Product Management, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Quality, Sales, and Marketing to ensure successful project outcomes.\nLead design reviews, risk assessments, verification and validation activities, and technical decision-making to deliver robust, manufacturable solutions.\nDesign and develop containment systems, including structural frameworks, doors, panels, and mounting solutions.\nOversee engineering analysis, testing, and compliance activities to ensure product performance, safety, and reliability.\nMentor engineers and provide technical leadership to strengthen team capability and engineering excellence.\nPartner with customers, suppliers, and manufacturing teams to develop innovative, cost-effective solutions.\nDrive standardization, modularization, quality improvements, and cost reduction initiatives across product families.\nServe as the subject matter expert for containment systems and support strategic customer and business initiatives.\nThis role could be the next step in your career if you demonstrate the following experience:\nBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of five (5) years of relevant engineering experience OR an Associate's degree with advanced technical training and ten (10)+ years of relevant engineering experience.\nYou will set yourself apart by demonstrating some or all of the following:\nProficiency with 3D CAD modeling software, preferably Creo.\nExperience designing data center containment systems or related infrastructure products.\nStrong background in structural steel and sheet metal design and manufacturing processes.\nExperience with engineering analysis methods such as FEA, CFD, DFMEA, and design verification.\nKnowledge of data center infrastructure, including racks, power distribution, cable management, and cooling systems.\nFamiliarity with lean manufacturing, value engineering, and product cost optimization.\nExperience interpreting architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.\nKeys to role success:\nProven experience leading complex product development projects from concept through commercialization.\nDemonstrated ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams without direct authority.\nExperience providing technical leadership, mentoring engineers, and driving project execution.\nSuccessfully leads complex engineering projects from concept through launch.\nDelivers innovative, customer-focused solutions while balancing cost, quality, and schedule objectives.\nProvides strong technical leadership and effectively influences stakeholders across functions.\nDevelops and mentors engineering talent, elevating overall team performance.\nDemonstrates expertise in structured product development methodologies and quality systems.\nWe will not consider candidates who:\nNo relocation is being offered for this role.
