This new suite of products will extend Eaton’s already successful wireless solutions and bring an unmatched level of industrial enterprise connectivity.\nYou will design and develop parts of a complex and comprehensive product\nYou will produce market competitive, manufacturable product designs on time and on budget by demonstrating a balance between innovation and risk\nYou will develop an in-depth understanding of our current products and provide ideas for product improvements\nYou will be a key member of the project team and participate in design reviews\nYou will learn the current radio portfolio and provide support to the existing product lines\nYou will perform other related tasks and projects as required\nQualifications:\nRequired (Basic) Qualifications:\nDiploma or Bachelor’s degree in RF (Radio-frequency) engineering or electronics engineering with RF focus or equivalent from an accredited institution\nMinimum 5 years of of relevant work experience\nEM theory and S-parameters theory, and S parameters measurement for one-port, two-port circuits using VSA, amplifier design based on S-parameters\nSkilled in the use of software for RF simulation and PCB design software\nDesign experience for matching circuits, frequency demodulators, frequency modulators, PLL circuits, AGC, ALC and AFC loops\nGood understanding of digital modulation, FSK, GFSK, OFDM, DSSS, FHSS\nExpertise in using RF instruments, Signal generators, Power Meters, Spectrum Analyzer, VSAs, VNA\nFamiliar with receiver and transmitter characteristics and how to measure them\nFamiliar with physical layer for Bluetooth and Wi-Fi\nFamiliar with regulatory / approval requirements for wireless devices (FCC and CE)\nFamiliar with conducted and radiated measurements\nFamiliar with antenna parameters and RF propagation\nMust be legally eligible to work in Canada without company sponsorship now and in the future\nNo relocation provided\nTravel: ~10% including internationally\nPreferred Qualifications/ Experience:\nPhase noise measurement and analysis.\nReceiver sensitivity measurement.\nDigital signal processing including digital filters, frequency demodulation, and bit/word synchronization.\nEmbedded C software development for microcontrollers.\nExperience with RF and electronic circuit simulation tools.\nBluetooth and/or Wi-Fi physical layer experience.\nUnderstanding of RF performance variation with temperature.\nPLL control loop design and stability analysis.\nAll positions may require participation in video and in-person interviews as part of the hiring process.
