If you are offered and accept this position and are actively employed by the Mobility Group when the transaction closes, the new company will provide further details to employees concerning compensation and benefits at that time.\nWhat you’ll do:\nEaton’s Fuel Emissions team is an organization whose mission is to deliver fuel emission products to customers to meet their specifications.\nThe Lab Technician is responsible to employ specialized skills and a high degree of expertise in operation of laboratory equipment such as airflow benches, liquid leak apparatus, durability test equipment, measurement devices and vehicle fuel systems to assemble, test, and assess characteristics of automotive fuel system components in accordance with laboratory procedures and requirements specified in test requests.\nMaintain a safe, organized, and functional work area\nSupport sample procurement by working with lab/prototype coordinators and suppliers.\nSet-up and operate engineering equipment as indicated in test requests.\nPrepare samples and perform tests according to test procedures and instructions.\nPromptly and effectively communicate test progress and problems to requestor and leadership.\nTrouble-shoot and repair fixtures as needed to complete test request.\nCollect and report data accurately, providing clear and detailed results using spreadsheets.\nPerform operations and adjustments with various tools as required.\nHandle Stoddard, Gasoline and other fuels and chemicals following safe practices.\nMotivated with strong organizational skills for largely unsupervised completion of test plans.\nEffective written and verbal communication skills.\nOvertime will vary based on project workload (5-10 hours per week).\nQualifications:\nRequired Basic Qualifications:\nMinimum High School Diploma and/or GED from an accredited institution \nMinimum two (2) years of laboratory and/or testing experience \nEaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. Active Duty Military are exempt from this geographical limitation. \nPreferred Qualifications:\nAssociates Degree\nFour (4) years of automotive laboratory and/or testing experience\nExperience with blueprint reading, GD&T\nExperience with Metrology equipment, including CMM’s\nExperience with AI powered tools to enhance productivity, improve quality of work products and informed decision making while adhering to company policies \nSkills\nStrong mechanical skills for equipment set-up, adjustment, and maintenance.\nBasic understanding of manufacturing processes, such as fabrication, tolerances, and finishes.\nProficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.\nMathematical skills for calculations and conversions.\nTechnical curiosity, creativity, and inventiveness.\nEffective work planning, teamwork, and collaboration skills.\nWorking knowledge of Automotive Fuel Systems and individual system components \nAll positions may require participation in video and in-person interviews as part of the hiring process.
