Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.\nWhat you’ll do:\nThe Machine Operator (PTFE) is responsible for maintaining certain levels of work in process including Teflon blending, preforming, carbon blending and 6 inch preform to ensure high quality material and healthy levels of work in progress for next operation.\nHome Job Areas:\nBlend\nPreform\nCarbon\n6 Inch Press\nIn this role, you will:\nWeigh or measure materials, ingredients, or products to ensure conformance to requirements.\nCompound or process ingredients or dyes, according to formulas.\nObserve production or monitor equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.\nMix or blend ingredients by starting machines and mixing for specified times.\nDump or pour specified amounts of materials into machinery or equipment.\nOperate or tend machines to mix or blend any of a wide variety of materials.\nAdd or mix chemicals or ingredients for processing, using hand tools or other devices, including but not limited to scales, hoists, temperature probes, and brushes\nStop mixing or blending machines when specified product qualities are obtained and open valves and start pumps to transfer mixtures.\nExamine materials, ingredients, or products visually or with hands to ensure conformance to established standards.\nTransfer materials, supplies, or products between work areas, using moving equipment or hand tools, including but not limited to drum lifts, pallet jacks, elevator and conveyor.\nRecord operational or production data on specified forms.\nUnload mixtures into containers or onto conveyors for further processing.\nPerform duties relative to production in the assigned area and is able to operate all equipment and machinery in the assigned area.\nProduce a quality product, safely, on-time, and with the least cost possible.\nReview work orders, specifications or instructions to determine material, ingredients, procedures, components and settings.\nAccurately complete computer transactions as necessary (labor & scrap transactions, inventory disbursements & cycle counts, expense items, etc.).\nParticipate in cell/team activities including, but not limited to, team meetings, problem-solving, Kaizen events, etc.\nMaintain a safe, clean and orderly work environment through effective housekeeping, 5S+ and TPM practices\nFollow all plant, safety, and environmental rules and regulations. Support plant lean, safety, quality and continuous improvement efforts.\nModel the Eaton ethical conduct policy, Eaton Culture Model, the Eaton Values and Philosophy, and comply with all other corporate, plant, and regulatory policies and regulations as applicable.\nQualifications:\nRequired (Basic) Qualifications:\nHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.\nMinimum of 1 year of manufacturing experience or in a related field.\nEaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position.
