The hours for this shift are 1:45 pm - 10:15 pm.\nSalaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.\nWhat you’ll do:\nEaton’s DCPD division is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician on 2nd shift. We are a leader in the design and production of critical power distribution products for many specific segments. The Maintenance Technician role offers a full time work week of 40 hours and potential overtime.\nThe Maintenance and Facilities technician will be responsible for performing industrial manufacturing mechanical system work to include layout, relocation, installation, maintenance, and repair of facilities, building mechanical systems, machinery and equipment.\nIn this function you will:\nAssist Engineers, Project Managers, and other functions on future plant or department layout proposals/ Kaizens.\nCoordinate with Santa Ana’s building and grounds contractors as needed\nAssist Manufacturing Engineers in the development of prototype equipment, manufacturing process, structural maintenance and equipment relocation/installation through the use of LEAN concepts. This may include physically preparing the facility for these activities.\nAssist manufacturing operators, supervisors in troubleshooting manufacturing problems.\nAssist other personnel with troubleshooting functions to determine most efficient method for repair of production lines and equipment.\nDevelop and implement improvements to manufacturing or front-end procedures and processes through improved layout, material handling, or work processes and procedures.\nAssist with the implementation of MESH (Management System of Environmental, Safety, Security and Health) and will utilize MESH tools to drive improvements\nAbility to perform general maintenance (i.e electrical, mechanical, plumbing, etc)\nPartner with HR and EHS to coordinate miscellaneous activities as needed\nPerform other related duties and special projects as assigned.\nQualifications:\nRequired (Basic):\nMinimum of 2 years industrial/facilities maintenance experience or related experience\nCandidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without out company sponsorship, now or in the future.\nNo relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation\nHigh school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.\nAbility to troubleshoot and repair the following: Electrical systems, Hydraulic systems, and Pneumatic systems.\nTroubleshoot various mechanical, control, hydraulic, fluid, and electrical systems down to the component level.\nExperience operating a forklift\nAbility to read and understand facility layouts and construction drawings and capable of interacting with outside contractors in the maintenance.\nPreferred:\nCollege Degree\nStrong problem solving and organizaqtional skills.\n1-3 years’ experience operating a forklift or other powered industrial trucks\nPrevious Experience in Lock Out, Tag Out Procedures\nCAD experience (Solidworks, Fusion 360, or AutoCAD).\nExperience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS - MaintainX)\nCommercial driver’s license (CDL)\nSkills:\nWorking knowledge of basic computer systems including but not limited to: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook\nMust have excellent verbal and customer relationship skills\nPhysical capability of walking up and down stairs and ladders, working on your feet for hours at a time, moving around equipment and buildings, and lifting up to 40lbs.\nAbility to operate a forklift and scissor lift.\nKnowledge and/or experience leading projects, conducting analysis for root cause identification, and understanding how to identify problems and reach resolutions is beneficial.\nWe are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
