Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.\nWhat you’ll do:\nJob Summary:\nAs a Manufacturing Engineer Intern at Eaton's Mission Systems Division you will support Manufacturing Engineers in the creation and updating of digital and other work instructions, data collection, and various manufacturing activities. This position is located in Orchard Park, NY.\nJob Responsibilities:\nAdhere to all site safety protocols.\nGenerate and revise Manufacturing Processes and Manufacturing Work Instructions in standard or digital formats.\nWork with technicians within manufacturing cells to understand processes.\nManipulate SolidWorks models for use in work instructions.\nSupport multiple projects simultaneously in a team environment.\nCommunicate clearly through both written and verbal methods. \nQualifications:\nBasic Qualifications:\nMust be enrolled and at least a Junior in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Eletrical Engineering at an accredited institution.\nMinimum cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher (please don't round).\nCandidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future.\nThis position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and requires access to export-controlled information. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations applicable to that information, applicant must either be (A) a U.S. person, defined as a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (green card holder), (iii) refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, (B) eligible to access the export controlled information without a required export authorization, or (C) eligible and reasonably likely to obtain the required export authorization from the applicable U.S. government agency. The Company may, for legitimate business reasons, decline to pursue any export licensing process.\nNo relocation is provided for this role. Must reside within 50 miles of Orchard Park, NY.\nTechnical Knowledge:\nExperience with SolidWorks or other 3D modeling software.\nKnowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).\nExperience with ERP or manufacturing execution systems.\nBasic knowledge of statistical process control (SPC).\nPreferred Qualifications:\nCompleted Junior or Senior year at the start of the internship. \nPrior internship experience.\nSkills:\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\nHighly self-motivated with a strong desire to achieve results.\nStrategic and innovative mindset with intellectual curiosity.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.\nAll positions may require participation in video and in-person interviews as part of the hiring process.
