Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.\nWhat you’ll do:\nThis role is responsible for the strategic operational management of the MEs of an assigned Value Stream in the Jackson Plant. Responsible for support of over $119M in annual sales. Lead, mentor and supervise Manufacturing Engineers within HPWTs including utilizing TalentHub and the Development Plan process. Lead daily tactical activities (ex. DMRs, Scrap Analysis / Review, MCOs, MOCs, etc.) as well as strategic initiatives across the ME function for the plant (ex: PFMEA, TPM, Tool Management, Product Transitions / Robust process Creation / CI Initiatives). Individual project(s) including procuring new equipment, equipment upgrades, process improvements as well as deep dive corrective actions utilizing 8D tools.\nEssential Responsibilities:\nDesign, develop, implement, and improve safe and environmentally responsible manufacturing processes utilizing MESH (Eaton Environmental, Safety and Health process), and other Eaton and industry standard practices.\nUtilizing processes to ensure that components and assemblies meet all internal and external customer quality specifications (Eaton Quality System, AS9100, and NADCAP).\nImplement Processes that are efficient in terms of capital intensity and human resources by implementing Eaton Lean Six Sigma tools.\nCoordinate, direct and prioritize Manufacturing Engineering activities to assure top priorities are focused on key objectives of quality, cost, and delivery.\nLead Manufacturing Engineering responsibilities within the focus factory including CapEx, Factory Cost Out and establishing and maintaining compliance to regulatory and customer requirements.\nDesign equipment, gauging, and tooling utilizing CATIA solid modeling software and other engineering analysis and design tools. Work with suppliers and purchasing to procure equipment, tooling, and supplies as required. Specific equipment requirements include manual assembly, semi-automatic equipment and pressure testing.\nImplement robust machine sign off criteria to meet Eaton and customer needs.\nMentor others in Manufacturing Engineering competencies, processes, and lean concepts.\nTroubleshoot and improve process including assembly and testing of products produced.\nTroubleshoot, recommend and implement changes in products and processes to improve manufacturability and profitability (cost out). Work directly with production associates, from all areas of the plant, in the implementation of projects in order to build an inclusive culture and processes that meet the needs of all employees and customers.\nCollect and analyze manufacturing data and metrics to aid in design and improvement of processes.\nManage activities and budgets for manufacturing and process improvement projects, including the development of the project management requirements and all implementation documentation.\nProvide functional and technical support to the organization as required to support goals.\nProficient with tools for Measurement System Analysis, Capability Analysis, SPC and FMEA\nProvide support to launch projects through ProLaunch team as required to achieve a flawless launch.\nProvide support to Transition projects as required to achieve a flawless transition.\nQualifications:\nBasic Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution\nMinimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing quality environment\nMinimum 1 year of people leadership experience\nThis position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
