Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.\nWhat you’ll do:\nThe Lead Engineer manages the Manufacturing Engineering (ME) group and owns continuous improvement across the site's manufacturing areas. The role advances manufacturing capability, supplies the engineering support behind the site's annual growth plan, and ensures every EHS activity and program touching manufacturing engineering is met.\n\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nThe duties below are representative; other tasks may be assigned.\nManages the Manufacturing Engineers and supports new product launches, driving Business Unit objectives including OPE, OTD, FPY, revenue, and cost savings/FCO.\nDetermine resource needs for the ME team and deploy team members where they deliver the most value.\nProvide the engineering solutions and technical direction that support the manufacturing objectives of the site's Integrated Product Teams.\nGuide the team in identifying, acquiring, and integrating the equipment and tooling that establishes or improves manufacturing capability.\nDirect facility layout evaluation and development against operational requirements, in step with Management of Change responsibilities.\nBuild the site capital plan: identify the assets required, write the Cap Ex proposals, and complete the supporting ROI analysis.\nGrow the skills, knowledge, and development plans of the ME group.\nLead cross-functional project teams, communicating clearly with every function of the business.\nSupervisory Responsibilities\nYes.\nQualifications:\nBasic (Required) Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree in engineering, technology, or operations.\nThree (3)+ years in manufacturing processes or manufacturing engineering.\nTwo (2)+ years managing direct reports, including career planning and annual feedback and reviews.\nMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now and in the future\nThis position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.\nNo relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation \n\nPreferred:\nProject management tools, ergonomic assessments, and Lean/Six Sigma certification.\nWorking knowledge of Root Cause Problem Solving (RCPS).\nDemonstrated use of Lean Six Sigma tools with proven cost savings and improvements.\nAbility to manage several priorities on short timelines.\nIndustry 4.0 transformations and automation.\nDesign, integration, and support of COTS and custom-fabricated assembly and test equipment.\nSoftware: Oracle, VKS, Relyence, Humantech, 3D CAD (SolidWorks), 2D CAD, and Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.\nProcess Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (PFMEA).\nAll positions may require participation in video and in-person interviews as part of the hiring process.
