Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.\nWhat you’ll do:\nEaton is currently seeking a Material and Inventory Associate to join our team.\n\nPosition Overview:\nUnder the direction of the Supply Chain Supervisor, the primary function of the Material and Inventory Associate is to support the master production schedule and ensure a suitable level of inventory while executing the material plan. The role focuses on Kanban replenishment, inventory organization and optimization, material expediting, shortage management, and ERP data maintenance.\n\nIn this function you will:\nScan Kanban cards and trigger Kanban orders to ensure timely replenishment of production material and reduce cycle time.\nOrganize and maintain Kanban shelves and material stock locations to ensure material is clearly identified, orderly, accessible, and easy to scan.\nReview open and overdue Kanban orders and expedite material as required to prevent or minimize production disruptions.\nCoordinate with production employees and supervisors to assess Kanban material levels, consumption, and replenishment requirements.\nReview Kanban stocking levels to ensure quantities are adequate to meet production requirements and recommend adjustments where required.\nImplement approved stocking-level changes in the ERP system (Oracle).\nIdentify, track, and support the resolution of material shortages affecting production.\nMaintain material shortage and escalation trackers and provide updates to management and production supervisors on critical shortages and recovery status.\nMaintain purchase order dates, pricing, quantities, and status in the ERP system and follow up on supplier commitments as required.\nExpedite suppliers and outstanding material when delivery timing may impact production requirements.\nSupport quarterly physical inventory activities and inventory reconciliation.\nIdentify and communicate opportunities to improve material flow, Kanban processes, inventory accuracy, efficiency, and cost.\nSupport continuous improvement activities related to inventory control, material storage, replenishment methods, and standardized work.\nOther activities assigned as required.\nQualifications:\nRequired Qualifications:\nExperience in material planning, inventory control, purchasing, logistics, manufacturing, or a related environment.\nMust be legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship.\nDo you have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited school?\nDo you reside within 80km of the Eaton facility?\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nPost-secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, Logistics, or a related field is preferred but not required.\nExperience working in a manufacturing or production environment.\nExperience with MRP and ERP systems; Oracle experience is preferred.\nExperience with Kanban or other pull-based material replenishment systems.\nExperience with inventory management, material expediting, supplier follow-up, or shortage resolution.\nSkills:\nDemonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel.\nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to maintain orderly stock locations and accurate inventory information.\nAbility to prioritize material requirements and respond effectively to changing production needs and shortages.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess inventory levels, material usage, and replenishment requirements.\nEffective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with Production, Supply Chain, suppliers, and other functions.\nAbility to multi-task and work in a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment, both independently and as part of a team.\nContinuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify opportunities to improve material flow, inventory control, efficiency, and cost.\nAll positions may require participation in video and in-person interviews as part of the hiring process.
