The position is based in Jackson, MS.\nThe Jackson facility has approximately 500 employees and is a leader in the design, development, manufacture and delivery of Aerospace hydraulic components, systems and services to the global aftermarket and OEM markets.\nJob Responsibilities\nMust be experienced in Maintenance Reliability and asset Management Best Practices.\nHave the professionalism to collaborate with other departments to ensure that reliability is integrated into all aspects of the organization.\nResponsible for increasing overall uptime and availability of test and machine equipment.\nResponsible for part design and detail drawings of aerospace fluid power components.\nResponsible for Identifying and implementing new technology and processes to improve test and machine equipment output.\nSupport engineering development projects, new business proposal activities, and sustaining engineering activities.\nCapable of interpreting design requirements from 2D sketches prepared by project/senior engineers.\nPrepares fully detailed drawings that adhere to ASMEY14 standards.\nCoordinates activities with project/senior engineers in accordance with project or proposal schedules.\nMust maintain an attitude supportive of continuous improvement, teamwork, cooperation, respect, and integrity.\nThe successful candidate will be able to do the following:\n\nAnalyze data and identify potential problems, then develop and implement solutions.\nConduct Root cause analysis of machine breakdowns to determine the underlying cause of problems.\nStrong understanding of hydraulic systems, mechanical equipment by applying engineering principles.\nThe ability to explain technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner.\nMust have the ability to manage multiple projects and task simultaneously and effectively.\nMust be safety conscious having the ability to identify potential hazards and take necessary steps to mitigate them.\nUtilize Eaton's standard drawing/modeling templates when creating new drawings or models. Must have ability to create and maintain drawing formats, templates, and symbols.\nAccurately complete Bill-of-Materials within PLM to convey product requirements to organization.\nAssist with spare parts inventory for maintenance.\nManage capital for upgrades to stands and machine shop equipment implantation of upgrade.\nCollaborate with peers and managers to improve department efficiency and reduce the cost of component development and detailing of components.\nQualifications:\nBasic Qualifications\nBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Technology from an accredited institution.\nA minimum of 1 year of experience utilizing 3 Dimensional Computer Aided Design (CAD) software. Will consider recent graduate with applicable internship experience. \nPrevious Pneumatic and Hydraulic experience or field of study.\n\nThis position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.\nNo relocation will be offered for this position; only candidates within 60 miles of Eaton's Jackson, MS plant will be considered.\nPreferred Qualifications\nA minimum of 1 year of experience in the design of mechanical components including the use of AutoCAD drawing or higher utilizing advanced geometry creation methods.\nAdvanced understanding of Geometrical Dimensioning and Tolerancing.\nBasic understanding of aerospace manufacturing processes, tolerances and materials.
