The role will involve deployment on a diverse portfolio of products initially focused developing Pneumatic systems for Military applications. As these systems have a significant mechanical engineering portion previous experience with mechanical based aerospace products will be advantageous. To succeed in this role, candidates require a minimum of 5 years previous Systems Engineering experience, a good engineering or science degree preferably in systems engineering and be able to operate within a multi discipline team.\nWhat you’ll do:\nDevelopment of solutions for the military aerospace industries following a systems engineering approach.\nHolding discussions with customers resulting in elicitation of key stakeholder requirements.\nDevelopment and derivation of customer requirements into realizable product requirements.\nRequirements based verification and validation of product requirements, using manual and scripted methods.\nProduction of interface control documents, system design documents and other supporting documents.\nControlling and managing engineering change throughout the development lifecycle.\nPreparation of technical proposals including estimations and presentations.\nTechnical oversight and mentoring of other Systems Engineers within a project team.\nQualifications:\nDegree educated in an engineering or science discipline\nExperience of safety critical solution development in accordance with DO-178/DO-254 or IEC61508\n Awareness of Electronic, Software or Mechanical Engineering development.\nMicrosoft Office including Visio, Excel and Word.\nConfiguration Management Tools\nCo-ordination and technical leadership of a multi-discipline project team to develop and deliver complex mechanical, electronic and embedded software solutions.\nFamiliarity/experience with MATLAB and Simulink\nFamiliarity with change control and problem reporting tools and processes.\nDeep technical knowledge of Mechanical/Pneumatic based systems.\nSkills:\nComfortable working independently and within a team, with the ability to identify the needs of a project or task, taking the initiative where appropriate to undertake the necessary work.\nAn eye for detail focusing on requirements and specification structure, applicability and language.\nUnderstanding solution influences on the requirement set.\nAbility to effectively communicate either verbally or written within a multi discipline team, with internal company authorities or customers.\nWhat we offer:\nOpportunity to work in a global, highly collaborative environment\nChallenging projects in dynamic collaborative team\nStrong focus on learning, development, and career progression\nCompetitive compensation and benefits package\nA culture that promotes inclusion, accountability, and continuous improvement\nAll positions may require participation in video and in-person interviews as part of the hiring process.
