Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.\nWhat you’ll do:\nThe Product Line Application Engineer serves as the technical expert for medium voltage motor controls and rives product lines, supporting customers, sales teams, engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain organizations. This role translates customer requirements into technically sound and commercially viable solutions while driving product growth, competitive positioning, and customer satisfaction. This position combines application engineering expertise with product line knowledge to support quotations, product development, product enhancements, strategic initiatives, and market expansion opportunities.\nIn this function you will:\nAnalyze technical specifications, drawings, and customer application requirements to develop accurate engineering documentation, including drawings and bills of material, ensuring alignment with manufacturing and supply chain processes\nValidate product selection, costing assumptions, and technical risks prior to quotation release.\nSupport commercial negotiations through technical clarification and value-based solution positioning\nDevelops a variety of complex drawings and bills-of-material based upon established product designs, which provides sufficient detail to accurately convey the purchaser’s equipment application\nConsults with plant and field sales engineers in interpreting and defining new equipment applications\nCoordinates mechanical and electrical interfaces with other products.\nAdvises frontend engineering, operations, and purchasing in interpreting information for the accurate production of equipment in accordance with the purchaser’s requirements\nConsults with the product warranties in resolving issues after the equipment is shipped, as needed\nConducts special development/application projects of a complex nature\nProvide training, instruction, and guidance to product line team members to ensure their knowledge of products and marketing/service methods\nAct as subject matter expert for the product line and technical resource and coach for engineering and quoting teams\nProvides technical training and guidance to customers & services\nAnalyzes needs and recommends revisions to department policies and procedures\nCollaborate with product management & design teams to identify opportunities for product improvements and new offerings\nQualifications:\nBasic) Qualifications:\nBachelor's degree from an accredited institution.\nMinimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, application engineering, controls engineering, or technical sales support.\nMinimum of 2 years of experience in applicable industry standards, including IEEE, NEMA, UL, NEC, ANSI, and IEC standards.\nEaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position.
