Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.\nWhat you’ll do:\nThe primary function of the Product Specialist is to serve as a skilled technical communicator who prepares accurate and well-written customer proposals based on requests for quotes or specifications. This role uses the Power Systems Division (PSD) quotation system and works closely with a dynamic, fast-paced team that interacts with all areas of the organization, from front-end sales through manufacturing.\nIn this role you will:\nCreate multiple transformer proposals daily based on customer RFQs, specifications, one-lines, and related documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness.\nReview specifications to confirm customer requirements, product fit, pricing features, lead times, and identify exceptions, alternatives, and special testing or documentation needs.\nProcess multiple orders daily by verifying purchase orders and specifications against proposals, resolving discrepancies, assembling documentation for engineering, and managing customer change orders.\nApprove and negotiate pricing within established guidelines using competitive feedback and market knowledge.\nCollaborate with team members to meet proposal deadlines and provide technical support to customers, agents, and internal departments.\nSupport quotation programs through training, testing, and improvement suggestions, and act as a liaison between engineering, marketing, scheduling, and customers.\nApply lean tools for continuous improvement and maintain knowledge of industry standards such as ANSI, IEEE, CSA, and NEMA.\nParticipate in ISO work instruction development, customer visits, plant tours, and occasional site visits.\nQualifications:\nBasic Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree from an accredited institution\nOne (1) year of engineering, product support, customer service, inside sales, or proposals experience\nEaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. This means that Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1 to H-1B, H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, I-485 job portability, etc.\nRelocation assistance will be provided for candidates that reside outside a 50-mile radius of Waukesha, WI\nPreferred Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in engineering is preferred\nOne or more years of experience using ERP and quotation systems would be a bonus\nTwo or more years of experience in technical marketing, manufacturing, or engineering is a plus\nSkills:\nKnowledge of electric power distribution transformers and their components and accessories\n\nKnowledge of typical applications, equipment, systems and standards for electric power distribution transformers\n\nExcellent oral, interpersonal and written skills with the ability to effectively communicate\n\nDetail oriented, with the ability to balance multiple priorities and work to deadlines with a high degree of accuracy\n\nKnowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point), SAP or other ERP related system and the ability to utilize such tools to analyze data and solve routine problems\n\nWe are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
