At Eaton, we’re dedicated to enhancing quality of life and protecting the environment with our innovative energy management technologies and services.\nWhat you'll do:\nThe Production Engineer is responsible to Lead the production activities while coordinating closely with Safety, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Production team leaders.\nThe role focuses on improving safety, quality, delivery, and cost through effective process design, Lean manufacturing principles, SAP master data integrity, and structured problem-solving methodologies.\nThe position actively supports equipment safety, environmental, health, and safety (EHS) compliance, ensures safe work practices are embedded into manufacturing processes, and coordinates equipment safety and guarding requirements with the HSE department in alignment with MESH (Eaton Environmental, Health and Safety) and applicable regulatory standards.\nBasically, Production engineer will be in charge of:\n1) Assembling GEIS components & modules into complete bays through a lean & flow production line with outstanding performance that is targeting the best quality, maximum cost saving and shortest delivery time\n2) Using the production planning procedures to achieve the most efficient processes and optimal use of resources\n3) Foster a well-trained and motivated staff and establish a professional team-working environment production planning techniques\nDirect and coordinate plant operations to meet production schedule\nEstablish a team to ensure timely delivery of material to shop floor\nSchedule and conduct plant meetings\nResponsible for the product quality control in the plant\nRegularly update the factory production forecast and milestone dates (report key figures and forecasts on monthly bases)\nTake the lead in production planning within all business departments (sales, project management, engineering, production, supply chain management and field operation)\nInquiry logistics of GEIS components and modules from feeder factories (incl. tracking system of goods)\nPrepare complete order handling (long and short term planning) including FAT (factory acceptance test)\nSupport continues improvement by recognizing any area for improvement and implementing an improvement plan accordingly\nMaintain safe working environment by following EATON-MESH guidelines\nEmployee shall also carry out any task that is assigned by management necessary to fulfil the job requirements\nQualifications:\nBachelor of Science in Electrical/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering\nMS / MBA is a plus\n5-8 years experience in Production/Manufacturing/Fabrication environment\nSkills:\nFluent in Arabic and English (speaking and writing) is a must\nIn depth understanding of lean concept & minimizing all related 7 wastes (transport, inventory, motion, waiting, overproduction, overprocessing & defects)\nStrong analytical and problem solving skills\nExtensive spreadsheet analysis and strong mathematical abilities\nMES (Manufacturing Execution System) expertise\nExcellent knowledge of MS Office\nSystems expertise in SAP R/3 and SAP BW desired or any other ERP system\nHands on application of manufacturing methodologies and tools - i.e., Kan-Ban, 2 Bin System, Poke Yoke, One piece Flow, TOC (Theory of Constraints), TPM (Total Production Maintenance)\nExcellent verbal & written communications skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group across a global business\nSolid knowledge about planning tools and processes\nGood training/presentation skills and experience to train production staff in a class room or shopfloor environement\nCommunication and soft skills\nAll positions may require participation in video and in-person interviews as part of the hiring process.
