Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.\nWhat you’ll do:\nPRIMARY FUNCTION:\n Create a setting in which employees become involved, responsible and self-motivated. Responsible for providing: training, continuous improvement, quality products and services. Administer organization policies and support plant objectives.\nThe supervisor drives the processes in department through the Eaton Business systems. Assist plant Manager/Production Manager in the development of processes to achieve a zero incident culture, maximize output, maintain machinery, and reduce overall costs and through these improvements exceed the customers’ expectations. Making sure that the organization decision making is based on a process oriented culture - to ensure the linkage from strategy to actions.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:\nMonitor and improve the systems in place so as to maximize quality and production.\nSchedule and commit the work load so as to meet all customer needs to the most effective manner.\nMaintain and improve the quality and effectiveness of the department’s methods/processes\nCommunicate with the department’s employees on subjects relating to policy problem resolution, department objectives and quality issues.\nCreate and maintain a high level of employee morale.\nControl and manage overtime, tool and other budgets within current guidelines.\nManage payroll, attendance, performance reviews and other administrative needs in a timely and accurate manner.\nCoordinate with other departments in an effective manner.\nDevelop potential candidates for management and professional positions.\nPromote positive and productive workplace environment that insures a company represented workforce.\nPromote plant MESH (safety) policies and encourage employees to follow sound safety practices; support/promote zero incident culture\nDevelop and maintain a self-directed work team environment.\nSupport teams in achievement of objectives and commitment.\nSupport company sponsored community involvement and employee activities.\nOther duties, projects as assigned. \nQualifications:\nBasic Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in business, leadership, or related field of study from an accredited college.\nOR an Associate’s degree from an accredited college, in business, leadership, or related field of study with 2 years of leadership experience.\nOR 10 years of operations experience with 5 years of demonstrated leadership experience.\nNo relocation is offered. Candidates must currently reside within a 75-mile radius of Arden, NC to be considered. This means that Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1 to H-1B, H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, I-485 job portability, etc.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nBachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or other related discipline from an accredited institution.\nTechnical industrial or management background along with a working knowledge of products (LVA, MVC, MVD, Fabrications).\nDemonstrated working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing.\nDemonstrated working knowledge of the MESH and zero incident safety culture and an awareness of all environmental aspects associated with or located in his/her respective areas.\nDemonstrated working knowledge of EQS, EBE, and EMS\nExcellent communication skills - both oral and written as well as possessing skills in the art of persuasion\nStrong interpersonal skills\nDemonstrated skills of technical analysis and evaluation are important\nTraining:\nNew supervisors will participate in WCI Front Line Leadership training, Eaton’s FLL training and Asheville Plant’s local new supervisor orientation. \nAll positions may require participation in video and in-person interviews as part of the hiring process.
