This role can be remote anywhere in the United States, with a preference given to individuals living within a 50-mile radius of an Eaton facility.\nWhat you’ll do:\nThe Project Engineering Manager will provide strategic leadership and direction to a team of Project Engineers supporting Field Project Managed orders for hyperscale data centers. This role is responsible for overseeing engineering resources to ensure workloads are effectively balanced, identifying and addressing training and development needs, and driving the consistent and efficient use of systems, tools, and processes. The Project Engineering Manager will play a key role in proactively supporting project execution and delivering exceptional outcomes for customers, Field Sales, and Project Managers within the hyperscale data center market.\n\nIn this function you will:\nProvide leadership and development to Project Engineers supporting Project Managed orders across the assigned region.\nDevelop and motivate direct reports through goal setting, development plans, performance reviews and ongoing monitoring of performance.\nServe as escalation point of contact for technical and commercial issues.\nPromote proactive technical project support through timely and accurate communications with internal partners (Product lines, Field Sales, and Project Managers) and external customers relative to pricing and application support, managing Bill of Material and configuration changes, and providing documentation packages.\nActively promote the Project Management Organization capabilities to customers, distributors, and sales.\nCommunicate product line changes which impact order management processes.\nIdentify process improvements and facilitate the documentation, communication and training on revised processes and procedures.\nUtilize tools (Vista/SAP, Power BI, BidManager, Microsoft Office, Salesforce/PM Hub) and other available resources to identify and resolve issues on project orders consisting of Built-To-Order, Assembled-To-Order, and Engineered-To-Order equipment as well as insuring workload balance across team.\nDevelop strong working relationships with Field Sales Management, the Project Management Leadership Team, key customers within the supported region, and division management.\nCoordinate with the Technical Services Team to support efforts to drive continuous improvements in the documentation and configuration support processes.\nPerform all other duties as required by the Manager, Project Engineering. \nQualifications:\nBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:\nBachelor's degree from an accredited institution required\nMinimum 5 years of sales, customer service and/or project management/project engineering experience\nPossess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver’s license\nEaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. Candidates must currently reside in the United States to be considered.\n\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution\nPMP Certification from the Project Management Institute\nStrong application knowledge of Electrical Power Engineered Products (power distribution)\nPrior leader of people experience\nProficiency in Eaton proprietary tools and applications (Vista/SAP, Bid Manager, PM Hub).\nSkills:\nPOSITION CRITERIA:\nLeadership skills.\nStrong customer focus and interpersonal skills (written and verbal communication).\nDemonstrated ability to communicate effectively with customers and Eaton personnel at all management and professional levels\nProficient in creative problem solving, conflict resolution and managing priorities.\nExceptional organizational and project management skills.\nDemonstrated proficiency in key proprietary tools (Vista, Bid Manager, Project Management Calculator) as well as Microsoft office applications.\nMarket and customer knowledge and a solid understanding of the sales process and management of project orders. \nUp to 25% Travel\nThe expected annual salary range for this role is $113000 - $165000 a year.\nPlease note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only.
