Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.\nWhat you’ll do:\nPosition Overview:\nThis position assists in the calibration of gages and equipment, inspects in-process, incoming, & out-going materials, works to execute departmental work, trains new inspectors, and handles routine clerical duties and required documentation.\nA Quality Inspector is responsible for reviewing products and materials during manufacturing to make sure they meet company requirements. It’s where bold, bright professionals like you can reach your full potential-and where you can help us reach ours.\nEssential Functions:\nInspect and test electrical products and components to engineering drawings and specifications using inspection procedures and sampling plans as specified.\nPerforms in-process, receiving, and final inspections.\nPerforms complete physical inspection of components, assemblies, and packaged units.\nMust be capable of using various measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, vision system and CMM\nRecord inspection data for historical records, as needed.\nQuarantine non-conforming material and create non-conforming material tag.\nAccurately fills out all necessary paperwork such as serial number logs and special products data sheets. Familiar with COC sheets with shipments.\nFunctional knowledge and familiar with Special Government products and related testing and documentation requirements.\nPerform Internal Audits, as needed.\nAssists in seeing that gages are calibrated within the required frequency.\nWorking knowledge of ISO procedures, work instructions, and document control (especially engineering drawings)\nDoes FAIs (First Article Inspections)\nHelps schedule work through Quality Inspection areas\nHelps with training of Quality employees (and others, if needed)\nHelps keep work area clean.\nOther duties as assigned by supervisor or Quality Technician.\nQualifications:\nRequired (Basic) Qualifications:\nCompleted High School diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution and 1-2 years manufacturing or quality experience in a manufacturing setting.\nAbility to read and interpret mechanical & electrical drawings, and government specifications.\nExcellent math skills, conversions from English to metric and decimals to fractions on part specifications.\nKnowledge of basic electrical principles.\nUse of computer software to enter receipts, first article inspection and NCMA’s.\nMust be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future\nRemain standing for an extended period of time up to 8 hours\nAble to lift to 35 lbs. on a regular basis\nSkills:\nPreferred Qualifications:\nAccurate interpretation of blueprint information for inspection purposes.\nStrong computers skills.
