Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.\nWhat you’ll do:\nPosition Overview: Provide support to Quality Assurance Manager, Q.A. Engineers, and Operations. The primary focus of this position will be to execute all quality initiatives to reduce negative impact to our customers. Support the deployment of Eaton Quality Management System (EQMS) elements such as PFMEAs, control plans, special characteristics, MSAs, and process capabilities.\nParticipate in the failure mode analysis on failed units. Field return receipt and return actions. Meeting calls on field issues.\nInvestigate the cause of non-conforming product and initiate the corrective action necessary for future prevention.\nDevelop, modify and maintain quality data collection and test/data collection databases.\nPerform audits/inspections of finished product, work-in-process and raw materials at various locations. Compare results against specifications to determine quality status.\nRead and interpret blueprints and process documentation.\nCalibration duties, as required.\nCreate new documentation (i.e. visual operating procedures VOPs, product quality guidelines PQG’s). Evaluate existing measurement and documentation for changes and enhancements.\nDemonstrate strong written and oral communication skills.\nCompetency with Microsoft Office, OPS, SAP, QPulse and ITS.\nSupport Quality department in the creation of process maps, control plans, checklists as required by change of source, process, or design.\nData collection for DPPM and CONC.\nUpkeep and communication of the Quality Alert process.\nWilling to flex shift hours to cover second shift when necessary.\nQualifications:\nRequired (Basic) Qualifications:\nHigh school graduate or GED equivalent.\nCertified in: Stacking, Lead Assembly, Tanking, Welding, Final Assembly, or as a Utility.\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\nEducation in AC/DC fundamentals, or equivalent knowledge of electrical prints / schematics.\nProficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)\nOne (1) year of experience working in quality assurance.\nKnowledge of Lean Six Sigma; Minitab.\nSkills:\nPosition Criteria:\nBe responsible for his/her own work, under minimal supervision and instruction.\nAbility to work overtime when required.\nAbility to train new quality employees on job requirements and quality standards.\nUse good judgment when explaining procedures and test results to customers.\nAll positions may require participation in video and in-person interviews as part of the hiring process.
