We are hiring a Senior Digital Integration Solutions Field Engineer. In this role, you’ll work directly with customers on-site, playing a hands-on role in delivering advanced power automation solutions. This position offers the opportunity to travel approximately 75% of the time. This role can be based in Colorado Springs, CO, Denver, CO, Salt Lake City, UT, or Cheyenne, WY.\nThe expected annual salary range for this role is $86000 - $126000 a year. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.\nWhat you’ll do:\nServe as a senior technical resource for on-site implementation, startup, commissioning, configuration, troubleshooting, optimization, and support of power management, automation, SCADA, HMI, networking, and mission-critical control systems.\nProvide advanced engineering consultation and technical expertise to customers across system integration, installation, maintenance, modification, training, and lifecycle support activities.\nAct as a senior technical escalation point and subject matter expert for DIS platforms, industrial networking, SCADA systems, power management applications, and integrated customer solutions.\nExecute complex, multi-site, enterprise, and mission-critical integration projects with limited supervision while ensuring safe, reliable, and cost-effective outcomes.\nMentor and develop Field Service Engineers, Field Service Representatives, Customer Service Engineers, and other technical personnel through coaching, training, job shadowing, and knowledge sharing.\nBuild trusted customer and stakeholder relationships while supporting sales through technical consultation, solution development, proposal input, quotations, and application recommendations.\nCollaborate with field, engineering, software, sales, and service teams to drive customer satisfaction, project success, standardization, continuous improvement, and senior-level technical best practices.\nModel Eaton’s safety culture, maintain accurate service and business documentation, and support performance outcomes tied to utilization, retention, growth, profitability, safety, and service quality.\nQualifications:\nBasic Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or in lieu of a degree at least 5 years of experience working with/managing installations of Power Management, Power Control, Scada, Mission Critical, or Building Management systems.\nMinimum of 3 years of experience working with Power Management, Power Control, Mission Critical, or Building Management systems.\nThis role is designated as a Regular Driver per Eaton’s Driver Safety Policy and requires a current, unrestricted driver’s license along with a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record. Candidates will be subject to a motor vehicle record check upon hire.\nAll candidates must reside within a 75-mile radius of one of the locations listed on the job posting. This means that Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1 to H1B, H1-B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, I-485 job portability, etc. \nAbility to travel 75%.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nElectrical Contractor’s license\nProfessional Engineering license\nGeneral Contractor’s license\nPosition Criteria:\nMaintain compliance with Eaton safety programs, including applicable EESS Qualified Electrical Worker requirements, recertifications, and advanced safety practices for automation, networking, and power management work.\nMeet customer-site access requirements, including periodic background checks and drug screenings, while maintaining a valid, unrestricted driver’s license.\nWork variable hours, including nights and weekends, and travel across the district, state, region, or country to support complex customer and project requirements.\nDemonstrate advanced PLC programming experience for Power Control, Generator Control, SCADA, and related automation applications in complex field environments.\nApply extensive commissioning, startup, troubleshooting, testing, repair, diagnostic instrumentation, and root-cause analysis experience to resolve complex power management and automation issues.\nUse advanced technical knowledge of HMI software, power monitoring platforms, industrial automation systems, SCADA applications, power quality meters, trip units, protective relays, UPS systems, and related infrastructure.\nDemonstrate advanced networking and communication protocol skills, including Ethernet, fiber-optic networks, VLANs, redundancy architectures, mesh networking, Modbus, SNMP, OPC, DDE, TCP/IP, and network troubleshooting.\nBring advanced knowledge of Eaton and competitor automation, monitoring, networking, SCADA, cybersecurity, power management systems, DIS software platforms, and complex system integrations.\nAll positions may require participation in video and in-person interviews as part of the hiring process.
