A key part of your work will be ensuring the continued evolution of the platform as underlying vendor software changes and existing models are replaced.\nKey Responsibilities\nDevelop, configure, and maintain real-time simulation models using OPAL-RT platform.\nDevelop electrical system models for UPS, battery, power conversion, and grid-interaction applications.\nModel IGBT, MOSFET, and other power semiconductor switching characteristics.\nOptimize simulation performance, accuracy, and real-time execution.\nDesign, build, and maintain HIL setups, cabinets, and test benches.\nDevelop HIL drawers, interface boards, signal conditioning circuits, and custom electronics.\nConfigure and maintain analog and digital communication interfaces.\nDevelop fixtures and peripherals required to emulate field devices, sensors, communication networks, and power systems.\nIntegrate HIL systems with target controllers, laboratory equipment, and measurement instruments.\nMaintain laboratory equipment, instrumentation, and test infrastructure.\nTroubleshoot hardware, communication, simulation, and integration issues.\nDefine and maintain common HIL architecture, standards, and reusable components.\nDrive continuous improvement of HIL platforms, tools, and laboratory infrastructure.\nEvaluate and introduce new HIL technologies and development methods.\nCollaborate with firmware, hardware, systems, and test engineering teams to support product development.\nWhat you'll own\nAvailability and reliability of HIL platforms and other HW infrastructure supporting FW testing.\nAccuracy and performance of real-time simulation models.\nDevelopment and maintenance of HIL drawers, interface electronics, fixtures, and peripherals.\nStandardization and continuous improvement of HIL environments.\nSafe operation and upkeep of HIL laboratories and equipment.\nWhat helps you succeed in this role\nTo be successful in this role, you bring experience in several of the following areas:\nPower electronics and UPS systems.\nOPAL-RT HIL platforms.\nAnalog and digital electronics design.\nReal-time simulation and system modeling.\nEmbedded systems and control systems.\nCAN, CAN FD, Ethernet, Modbus, and industrial communications.\nPython, MATLAB/Simulink, C/C++, or equivalent engineering tools.\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical, Computer, Controls Engineering, or related field.\nHands-on experience working with HIL systems and a solid understanding of power electronics\nSkills:\nExperience with engineering tools such as Python, Robot Framework, C/C++, MATLAB, and PLECS.\nExperience translating system and testing needs into clear technical requirements and specifications.\nA cross-functional mindset with the ability to understand and connect perspectives from different engineering disciplines.\n\nThe ability to organize, prioritize, and drive work independently.\n\nA proactive, can-do attitude and a willingness to take initiative.\n\nCuriosity, a continuous learning mindset, and a drive to move ideas forward.\n\nA strong sense of ownership and accountability for delivering results.\n\nGood communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.\n\nThe ability to define requirements by gathering, aligning, and consolidating input from multiple stakeholders and engineering teams.\n\nWhat we can offer to you:\nContract in fast growing global company\nChallenging projects in dynamic collaborative team\nGreat promotional opportunities - We encourage internal promotion, whenever possible\nExcellent working environment - safety and ethic are really important for us\nAll positions may require participation in video and in-person interviews as part of the hiring process.
